Signed to Warner Chappell under his producer name, DalePlay, he has become quite the emerging producer in the Pop, EDM and Latin world. He caught the ears of Diplo and Skrillex’s camp early on in his career and continues to collaborate with some heavy hitters. By the age of twenty, he won his first BMI Latin Award and since then, he’s actively collaborated and/or had placements with Marc Anthony, Will Smith, Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez, Ozuna, Enrique Iglesias, Prince Royce, Maluma, MØ, Becky G, Natti Natasha, Jen Carlos Canela, Mau & Ricky, Gente De Zona, Silvestre Dragon to name a few.
Growing up bilingual as an immigrant from Venezuela and moving to Miami at the age of 13, he was influenced by both English and Spanish language artists. His upcoming artist project as a DJ shows off his Latin roots in his production, yet showcases his love for catchy pop melodies at the same time. DalePlay looks forward to showing the world the face behind some of the world’s most recent international hit singles.

I can’t I’m too big to fit in 3 words. Too much arepas.
How all started?
It all started with my financial struggles and my ambition to have a better life. I am not ashamed to say that at first I wasn’t in love with music but in love with a better life for me and my family. I saw music as a way out of poverty. That’s how my journey with music really started, but then of course it changed over time..
When was it that you first realized that you wanted to pursue music as a career?
When I fell in love with music. When I looked at music from a different point of view. and envisioned a possible career. Just for the record I didn’t fall in love with music first we just had a one night stand then things developed ;). Comprende?
Did your family support this decision?
My family is my base for everything and their love is unreal so yeah, support was there all the way! (They wanted a house too though)
What is your musical background?
I never had one directly coming from a family source etc… But my country is a very musical place (Venezuela). I was the only one to come out musical out of my family (I still sing horribly though).
What kind of music do you listen normally?
I listen to everything. I love music in every way, thats how I find new sounds.
Tell us about your work on Jennifer Lopez “El Anillo?”
It has been incredible to work with such woman who is a hustler and a star in every sense! And beautiful as hell!! It was refreshing to create something for her that she didn’t do before. I pushed the boundaries and it worked. She gave me freedom and it worked. I learnt a lot from it and I guess the song did her good and her boyfriend got the hint! They are about to get married and I am so happy!!! El Anillo pa Hoy!
And about Marc Anthony, Will Smith & Bad Bunny “Esta Rico?”
Rico! It was a rich experience to work with such talented and legendary guys. I have lots of respect for them. The producing process was fun and I was able to bring different sounds and different colours into one song. It was like riding a unicorn over a rainbow. Comprende?
How was working with big names like Diplo, Skrillex, Enrique Iglesias, Prince Royce to name a few?
It was awesome I slept in their houses we played tea time then we cooked Arepas then we danced then they said I was awesome and carried me on their shoulder and said out loud ‘Daleplay Daleplay’…
So yeah it was alright I guess. I still hurt from their push and pull.
What music influences do you have?
Luis Silva big influence and Joropo! Big influence on me.
What is your next goal as a DJ?
My next goal is to have Daft Punk without masks on one my tracks. Its very possible.
Seriously now, my goals are many and I am enjoying each step of my journey. I am figuring out how to best represent my sound to the world. I am happy to see how the world is loving a latino sauce, we ain’t stopping baby!
My first single is my next goal. It will be out before the 4th of July so save the fireworks for me!
What is your own definition of happiness?
Can you even define that shit? Chocolates, Arepas, Plantain and unas cositas was comprende?

Do you get nervous before a performance?
Yeah, every time I was going to strip I felt insecure about my performance. Not really.

I love uniqueness, I love vintage fashion, I love playing with it. And by the way I’m styled by my girlfriend. I love this shit! Dalefashion coming soon.

I believe social media plays an essential part on what I do. It also connects the fans keeping them a part of it every step of the way. I love it.
