How did you get started in the industry?
My father was a wedding DJ growing up, so I was fortunate to discover my passion as young teenager.
What are currently your main challenges as a DJ and Producer?
Covid has obviously affected our industry, but we’ll come out of this stronger than ever in due time.
Which artists and styles inspired and influenced you?
So many artists inspired me over the years. From Tiesto to Avicii to the Swedish House Mafia, to Mark Knight, Pete Tong, Danny Howard. From Big Room to Tech House, Deep House and Afro.
When all the partying is over how do you like to chill out?
I like to recharge at home. Partying also fuels my inspiration so I like to get back into studio mode after spinning or being out.
Best stage you have ever play?
My residency at New City Gas in Montreal. A 4600 capacity venue where I’ve opened for the world’s biggest DJs and artists. One of the best venues on the planet.
Describe your sound in 3 words?

Tell us about your new single ‘All For You’ feat. Naida?
All For You is my latest afro/tech house track featuring the dazzling RnB flair on my homegirl Naida.
And about your forthcoming album “Until We Dance?”
Until We Dance is the title of my debut album that was conceived during lockdown. This was my kind of way of coping during quarantine. I’m excited to play it out to people when normal life resumes.
Can you tell us any differences between other places in the world and the US music scenes?
The American scene is open minded and people really love a diverse range of music genres. ‘All For You’ and the album is inspired by this and bridges different fun, feel good styles.
Are you doing any live music/events during this lockdown? If yes where we can listen?
I’ll be doing a series of guest mixes and features leading up to the album drop in March. You can follow me on my socials @andrewpololos for more. My favorite song at the moment is ‘For Today’ off the upcoming album. I’ll be leaking some sneak previews soon.

Osheaga Montreal, Hideout Croatia, Electric Zoo New York. I still need to do TomorrowLand, Burning Man and UMF.

Plenty of funny and crazy moments. The best for me was a spontaneous live jam with violinist Eric Speed and singer Andria Piperni.
What was the first record that you bought?
My dad was subscribed to a weekly DJ record pool so I would get the newest music on CDs as a kid growing up. First DVD I bought was Tiesto’s Elements of Life tour. I still watch that DVD lol.
What’s your favorite club to DJ in?
New City Gas (Montreal, Canada), Carpe Diem Island, (Hvar, Croatia), Nikki Beach (Porto Heli, Greece)
What advice would you give to aspiring Producers or DJs?
Like every entrepreneur, you need to be willing to put in the countless hours with possibly no return, be willing to risk it all for your dreams, the lack of job security, the uncertainty, repeated failures etc… My advice is simple. If you really want it, go get it! If you love it, and you’re passionate about it and you’re good at it; the sky is the limit.
What is next for Andrew Pololos in 2021?
More music. Lots of new music is on the horizon. The album drop, remixes, another EP for summer and hopefully some gigs to be able to share all this music the way it was intended.
Best and worst thing of your job?
It’s the best job in the world. Making people smile and dance, travelling and making new friends around the world. The downside I would say is missing on a lot of family and friend gatherings and events. I was able to spend much more time with my family during lockdown which was really nice.
