Hi Noah, please tell us a little about you?
Hey! My name is Noah Ayrton Travaglini and I’m a DJ and dance music producer from Montreal, Canada.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
– Meticulous
– Bold
– Determined
We’re sure you have been asked this million times but how did you get in the industry?
I got into the industry through the love of electronic dance music. At the age of 13 years old, my sister introduced me to “trance” and “big room”, which were two of the most popular genres at the time.
From artists like Armin Van Burren to Hardwell, I continued to grow my knowledge on dance music. After attending several festivals and clubs, I realized I wanted to be the guy behind the decks.
From there I began producing and created several artist alias’ but eventually stuck with Noah Ayrton.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
– Unique
– Fierce
– Dark
Do you ever get nervous?
I’m usually chill and laidback but when it comes to getting on stage to perform, I’ll still get nervous at times.
Tell us about your work on popular dance labels like Spinnin’ Records, Revealed Recordings and Hexagon Records?
I would describe my work on popular dance labels like Spinnin’, Revealed and Hexagon to be unique and fresh sounding. These labels are always looking for new sounds that’ll stand out from the crowd but that can also be played out in clubs and festivals of any kind.
As for my experiences with these labels, they have been nothing but positive. They’ve not only helped me reach my goals but also flourish as an artist. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
What do you think is different from the Canadian music scene to the U.S.?
I feel as though the Canadian music scene is more genuine, where as in the U.S. the industry is more oversaturated. There are more factors involved when becoming a well-known artist in the U.S. which takes away from the artists actual musical talents.
Which artists and styles inspired and influenced you?
Artists like Oliver Heldens, Don Diablo and KAYTRANADA inspire me to create the “future house” sound I produce.
When all the partying is over how do you like to chill out?
Once all the partying is over I like to relax by watching a TV series or a movie.
Best stage you have ever play?
The best stage I ever played would be at “Le Cinq” in Montreal, Canada.
Funniest thing that ever happened at an event?
The funniest thing that happened at an event would be during one of my sets. The electricity of the venue went out, leaving me with no audio or lighting what so ever.
What’s your favorite club to DJ in?
My favorite club to play in would have to “Bootshaus” in Cologne, Germany.
Did you had plans/gigs planned and cancelled because of COVID? If so have you done any online events or interaction with your fans?
I have had a few shows cancelled although I’m planning on interacting with my fans online through virtual festivals in the coming months!
What is fun and rewarding about what you do? And what’s not?
Having the ability to tour the globe and play out my music. Dealing with rejection from record labels isn’t to fun haha.
What’s your advice for the newer DJ’s?
One piece of advice would be to make music that you enjoy, be yourself and eventually people will understand and appreciate you more as an artist for being unique.
What’s next for Noah Ayrton in 2021?
You can definitely expect a lot of new music and live sets from me this year, beginning with a collaboration with Going Deeper on Future House Music coming out June 4th! I am also planning on beginning my very own radio show to support upcoming talent.
What book should every entrepreneur read?
