Hi Lauren, please tell us a little about you?
I am a twenty-two-year-old social media influencer born and raised in Canada. I have a twin sister named Julia Burch who also does social media alongside me. I enjoy anime, cosplaying, and gaming!
Who influenced you and why did you choose to be a content creator and a gamer?
My twin sister, Julia Burch is by far my biggest inspiration and influence. I credit her to pushing me to work hard and achieve my goals in the social media space.
Now let’s talk about Twitch and how big your name and exposure has grown over the last months. That’s amazing! When did you decided to create your own channel?
My sister began streaming on Twitch a few months earlier than I did, and once I saw the beautiful community she created, as well as how much fun she was having on the platform, I was immediately inspired to pursue my own journey on Twitch. It has truly been a blast.
How many hours a week do you dedicate to playing online?
I usually spend 4 – 8 hours a week live streaming on Twitch.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
By far the most rewarding thing about working as a social media influencer is being able to inspire others.
As a popular gamer and influencer, you are followed by so many people. How do you feel about that pressure of always doing the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
It can be seen as a lot of pressure, but I am very happy to have such a large platform where I can spread awareness on important topics. Social media influencers have the opportunity to use their platforms to create change, and I find that very inspiring.
Do you have preference for certain types of games, or do you have plans in maybe creating your own games?
I don’t currently have any plans to create my own games, but the idea is definitely quite appealing. I currently enjoy streaming a variety of games, usually whichever is suggested to me by my viewers! I’m also a big fan of horror games.
Tell us about your company Gloom-E-Girl?
Gloom-E-Girl is a group of egirls who are passionate about gaming and content creation! Our goal is to inspire others and to support women in the gaming space.
How do you guys select new members in the company?
We don’t have specific criteria when searching for new members. We simply try and find kind-hearted people who are passionate about content creation and gaming!
What is the feeling to share this huge success with your sister Julia?
It is honestly amazing to always have my twin sister by my side. She is my biggest supporter and best friend, and I couldn’t imagine doing any of this without her.
What’s next for Lauren Burch in 2023?
I’m looking to focus on increasing the quality of my content this year. I want to put more time and effort into my videos, and really create content that I am most proud of.
What is your favorite healthy food?
I really enjoy salad. There are so many u unique ways to prepare it!
And your favorite cheat food?
Ramen!
