Please tell us a little about you?
I am a Contemporary sculptor. Born in Ukraine, living in United States. Earned my MFA in Fine Arts, Interior and Furniture Design from Kiev University of Technology and Design. Grew up in a family of a professor of physics and math, which is what drew my understanding of industrial material toward the future sculptures from an early age.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Unpredictable, fearless, ready.
Name one of your strengths?
I don’t look at the obstacles, I focus on the goal.
Who is your biggest supporter?
My family
Best advice ever given?
We are the creators of our own reality.
Who has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
I always learn from those who are more experienced and who achieved great things in life.
Never stop learning, as anyone who stops is old, whether twenty or eighty years of age…
The more you read, the more things you will know.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Someone famous 🙂
What is the most challenging part about what you do?
There is not enough hours in the day to create everything that is on my mind. Today I create what I already have had 3 years ago in my sketchbook.
What did you learn from your biggest failure?
There are no failures! Everything in life is a sign. You need to learn how to read signs! Some you win, some you learn.. but never lose!
Now tell us about your art. Where do you draw inspiration from?
My inspiration can come from anywhere. From a cloud in the sky or a cab in London. From a branch of a tree in Zanzibar or an old building in Ukraine. I think I was born already creative.
What’s your favorite quote?
If you think trying is hard.. wait until life gives you lemons!
To what do you attribute your current success?
Self discipline and persistence. Perception of the world. Positive energy.
What part of your job do you find the most challenging?
I don’t have a job. What I do is my lifestyle and passion. I enjoy the process and learn.
Are there busy and quiet periods during the year?
There are no quiet periods when you are a creative person. Life is booming in bright colors.
What book should every artist read?
I think no book will help you to be more of an artist. You cannot learn how to be creative. When I read something it’s more about psychology and boundaries. It’s about culture and rituals. It’s the stories about those who are already successful.
Your idea of a perfect Sunday is?
Beautiful nature. Family. Good food.
How would you describe your fashion style?
More class, less sass.
What do you think of Social Media?
Great invention. Helps people to learn. Helps people make money. Self development if you are using it the right way.
