Hi Remy, please tell us a little about you?
I am 19 years old, Texas born and raised and been a professional musician since I was 14 years old. My best friend is a Great Pyrnees/Pitbull mix named Ellie Mae. I enjoy anything art and listen to absolutely everything. I love being outside and around animals, if I was not in music, I probably would be doing a career involved with the environment and animals.

Describe your sound in 3 words?
-unique
– fun
– melodious
Who influenced you and why did you choose to make music?
My family, artists such as James Supercave, Foster The People, Local Natives, Fitz and The Tantrums all got me into music. I have been always making music since I was five, my family encouraged me and gave me a place to do so, and I am forever grateful for their continued support and love.
Tell us about your new single “What Do Ya Know?”
It is my favorite song I have ever released. Out April 28th! It is a fun, love song that will be perfect for the Spring/Summertime.
What’s the story behind the song?
I was in love with someone, but our relationship was not right. It was very on and off and stressful. I kept going back until I couldn’t anymore. I wanted to celebrate my love for them, but also all things I love. So, I said “what do you know” I’m here again. I have felt this before. I will never stop loving humans just because some chose to treat me wrongfully. It is a song about celebrating love.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
Talking to strangers about their life, lessons, and stories. When I am able to let someone open up, it fills my heart. Knowing my music can help make someone’s day or life better is the biggest reward anyone could possibly get. Being able to give someone peace or happiness even for a minute is a reward and a privilege.
What would you say are the greatest lessons you learned so far?
I could write books about the lessons I have learned so far. My favorite one is to never stop caring. Never stop being sweet, sensitive, or caring. It is not a weakness. It is a beautiful thing. Just make sure you are not taken advantage of because of it. Never stop caring. You are so cool for that.
What advice would you give to your younger self and why?
I would tell her to stop worrying about every little thing she does, that her strangeness makes her pretty cool and lots of people love her.
How would you explain your fashion style?
My style is strange, colorful and vintage. I also LOVE wearing band T shirts because I have too many favorite bands.
What is your own definition of happiness?
My definition of happiness is simplicity. It seriously is the little things in life that shock me with happiness every day, seeing someone playing with their dog, hearing a stranger laugh, flowers, the sun. Sitting outside and practicing gratitude. Doing something sweet for yourself. Enjoying life for what it is and living in the now.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
I would love to meet Mark Foster from Foster The People, he needs to know how impactful his music is and how amazing he and his band are. I know no bad songs from them, and they have inspired me from the beginning of my career.
What would be the dream holiday, and who would you go with?
The dream would be to see the Northern Lights from anywhere they are visible! I would want to take my best friend and my brother.
Best advice ever given?
I am given so much great advice from my peers daily, but the advice that has always rung in my soul is to be myself and to do things for me, the right people will come to you when you are your true self. (fans, friends and all!)
What is your favorite song to belt out in the car/for karaoke?
I love belting out “Closer” by Neyo, it just never gets old.
What’s next for Remy Reilly in 2023?
Writing and recording more songs, lots of traveling with my music and continuing to live the dream!
