Hi Nelly, please tell us a little about you?
I’m a dating coach and matchmaker and I specialize in helping High-Value™ singles find love! You may have seen me on the new Roku Originals reality series, Match Me In Miami, or on my TikTok, @ask.nelly where I post daily videos offering dating tips!

How did you get started into the business?
Oddly enough, I got started in the dating space through social media. I started posting short videos on TikTok during the pandemic, not thinking it would lead me anywhere but to my surprise, it did. I eventually grew my platform to a point where I couldn’t balance my corporate career, masters program and TikTok so in 2021 I quit my job without a plan and dove into content full-time.
While in school I started building up a clientele through referrals and later launched my first dating course, Manifesting Mr.Right. Thousands of women have since enrolled in my 12-step program, which teaches singles how to stop chasing and start attracting High-Value™ men.
A few months before graduating, I was presented with the opportunity to participate in a new reality television show about matchmakers and dating coaches, called Match Me In Miami – something that felt perfectly aligned with my career trajectory. I since have amassed over 15,000 people in my personal matchmaking database and have helped thousands of men and women find love, get married, start their IVF journeys and even leave toxic relationships. I love what I do!
What do you think is the secret to have a successful show like yours?
What I’ve learned through my experience on reality television is that authenticity is essential to making a good show. I think many people who go on reality television sometimes try to make themselves likable or portray a character-like version of themselves, but audiences are getting smarter and can sniff out insincerity. Personally, I would rather be myself, put it all on the table, and risk some people disliking me than be anything other than who I authentically am.
Do you or the people that appears on the show had a script on what to do or say?
No script, what you see is what you get!
If you are a book, what would be the title of the book and why?
If I was a book I think it’d be titled “Unapologetic”. I think women, in particular, are often societally conditioned to come off as agreeable and apologize in order to seem less conceited, compared to men. Personally, I have been advised throughout my life to dim my ambition, apologize for having alternative opinions, and ‘go along to get along’, to appear more likable. Further, it seems we are living in a world where intelligent people have to stay silent and apologize for their beliefs so that some people don’t feel offended – something I find insulting. It’s been challenging for me to speak up for what I believe in, especially on social media where I’ve faced tons of criticism but what I’ve realized is that it’s essential. I refuse to apologize for what I believe in and how I coach as I know it’s changed several lives in a positive way, hence the inspiration behind the book title!
What is your favorite healthy food?
Right now I’m loving Octopus fennel salad – high protein, low carb and 10/10 taste profile!
And your favorite cheat food?
Not sure if it’s because I’m Jewish or Canadian but I love a Montreal-style sesame seed bagel!
What’s next for Nelly Sudri in 2023?
Currently, I’m focused on expanding my matchmaking & dating coaching business! So finding new clients and helping my existing ones find love! I also recently launched a dating card game called The Datrix, which I am hoping to scale as it’s the perfect ice-breaker for dates.
What is your idea of a perfect Sunday?
I’m a morning person so a perfect Sunday for me is waking up just after dawn and kickstarting my day with a hike. I’ll almost always take my dog, Clover, as we both love being outdoors and then I’ll head to the gym. After getting my fitness time in I will either get together with friends (ideally in Malibu) or film social media content, which I also love. The thing about working for yourself is there are no off days, so it’s not unusual for me to have calls with my clients on Sundays too! I don’t turn off and am happiest when I feel productive, so I actually enjoy getting a little work in on the weekend. I love turning my brain off in the evenings though so typically on a Sunday I’ll wrap up my day by watching some reality TV and doing some form of guided meditation.
Best advice ever given?
“You become what you believe!” I am a big believer in manifestation and I think our thoughts create our reality, so I always try to look at life with a glass half full perspective.
