Hi Kaitlen, tell us about yourself
My name is Kaitlen Villa, I am from New Jersey, I’m 24 years old, and I live in Miami, Florida. I’m a serial entrepreneur, model, content creator, podcaster, and vlogger however I will say I see myself as more of a business person than a content creator. I’m also a digital nomad since I am constantly traveling back and forth to LA (and wherever else life takes me) for work I basically live out of a suitcase which says a lot about my character. I gained a lot of success within the last year all thanks to Only Fans which found my podcast We’re Our OnlyFans last November right after we launched the first episode which changed my life forever. Within 6 months we gained over half a million followers as we became the first podcast to openly talk about OnlyFans with creators and to shed light on a dark situation that is often too taboo to talk about. We also were one of the first shows to be featured on OFTV which I also had the opportunity to vlog for under the name Not Your Future Girlfriend which I am currently in the process of rebranding to become my solo podcast launching in the fall. I like to think WOOF played an active role in changing the narrative around OnlyFans as we openly spoke our truth about our experience within the space and how much it changed our lives. However now that OnlyFans is rebranding it only felt right that I also take this opportunity to rebrand which is why I am now choosing to focus more on my own personal brand opposed to continuing with WOOF.
I am in the process of launching my own site called kaitlenunlocked.com and also the notyourfuturegirlfriend.com site which will not only be for my podcast but also will feature cool merch drops. I am super excited to take this new journey because I have always dreamed about launching this brand for as long as I can remember and now I have the resources, the team, and opportunity to build it so I have been putting my all into this. I am also in the process of working on some other tech related projects which I am super excited about! Make sure to follow me on all my socials to follow my journey!
Describe yourself in 3 words
Passionate
Multi-faceted
Driven
Best advice ever given
Bet on yourself. This advice is so simple but is also applicable because the only person who can make it happen for you is you so it is important to be your own biggest fan and root for yourself when no one else is. If you don’t go all in on yourself you’re going to ask what if and regret it so just go all in on yourself and believe that the results you desire belong to you. Then show up as that person who deserves what you desire and before you know it your dreams will become your reality. Keep your head up dreams do come true I am living proof.
What did you learn from your biggest failure?
Have faith in the process but also be adaptable. I think this is super important because I’ve failed plenty of times and let it put me down for awhile but in the end each failure gets you that much closer to your dreams so take the lesson from it, make adjustments, and keep moving forward. A lot of times the failures we experience are not because we are insufficient it’s because God has something better planned for us so we need to just have faith and trust the process. Of course enjoy the journey while doing it.
Only Fans success
It’s funny because I initially did not want to do Only Fans out of fear of what people would say or think about me but I am happy I overcame that fear because OnlyFans showed me a life better than I could even imagine. In November 2020 my friend and I decided that since we were now OF girls we would spend our free time creating a podcast since we both really wanted to get into the vlogging and podcast space. However something we were doing for our own amusement ended up becoming so much bigger than ourselves once we were discovered and promoted by Only Fans which helped us gain an audience of over half a million followers which made us one of the top 5 most followed accounts on the whole site for awhile. We’re Our Only Fans got it’s name because we really thought we would be our only fans that was the big joke however that was not the case at all since our bravery to speak out about such a taboo subject really inspired many creators. Having a community of followers that get to listen to my podcast, watch my vlogs, and then interact with me was so exciting to me because it felt like I was finally seen, heard, and appreciated for just being myself. On top of my podcast page I also have a personal page which is onlyfans.com/kaitlen which has grown to over 100k followers and my vlog page (which I am transitioning into a solo podcast page) onlyfans.com/notyourfuturegirlfriend has around 30k followers. Although I will not be continuing with WOOF I am excited to dive into my solo ventures which will give my fans a deeper look into my life aside from OnlyFans. This transition is nerve wracking but also exciting to have the opportunity to create something for my fans where they can get to know all of me.
Name one of your strengths
I learned this year that I am a really good networker. One piece of advice for anyone who wants to be an entrepreneur or content creator especially is to go out and meet people. Instead of trying to bring value right off the bat which I know some people say to do I think it’s important to just be your best self and form genuine connections because genuine connections then later lead to opportunity and if not you made a new friend. I think it’s ignorant to assume you know everything or assume you know everyone you need to know there is always an opportunity to grow and learn from others because you never know who you’re going to meet and what can come from that relationship. The best people you meet unexpectedly.
What is fun and rewarding about modeling
I never thought I would be comfortable with myself modeling however I have really grown to love it over the past year. I was never that confident in my appearance to pursue modeling on my own but once I realized that it was my own limiting beliefs that stood in the way of pursuing modeling I became more open to giving it a shot. It was my photographer (who now has grown to be one of my closest friends) who helped me me see all the potential I had beyond Only Fans which I didn’t think was a possibility. Once I became more and more comfortable on camera I knew that I had to take the leap and just bet on myself. I always say it feels a lot like adult dress up which reminds me of my dance competition days where I would get all dressed up to perform but now I get pampered to shoot. Everyone loves to feel beautiful in their own skin which I will say modeling definitely gave me confidence that I didn’t know I had. I love getting to collaborate with my other creatives to bring our vision to life. It’s so rewarding to see the end result and feel that rush of confidence all over again. When I see some of my photoshoots I am still in shock that I was able to turn one of my insecurities (not feeling confident in my appearance) into something I am now proud of.
Why did you decide to be an entrepreneur
I love this question because to me becoming an entrepreneur was a no brainer. When I was in college at UCSB I think I had this idea in my head that if I was not the best at something I was the worst so the idea of applying for jobs that a million other people just like me were applying for did not sound appealing. I honestly didn’t even consider getting a 9-5 in my head I justified that I couldn’t be the worst at something that I was creating also. It’s funny because in college I also refused to get an internship or a job so I had nothing to put on my resume which made me really self conscious about applying for jobs so I literally set myself up to have no choice but to become an entrepreneur. It was hard work though instead of partying like everyone else junior and senior year I spent most of my time in the library reading books, listening to podcasts, and taking online courses on all things digital and online marketing. I really wanted to become a content creator but at the time I was under the impression you couldn’t make money as a content creator so I wanted to build online businesses to fund my dream of becoming an online personality. However when OnlyFans came around I realized that I could kill two birds with one stone and still use all the skills I learned over the years to build successful businesses. Honestly I think entrepreneurship is super exciting for people like me because I am super creative but also bored pretty easily. Entrepreneurship keeps me on my toes because a lot of times you’re building something from nothing and you’re driven by the mission of your business whatever that may be. I’m all about making an impact, creating change, and inspiring/empowering others to do the same which keeps me going when things get tough. I’m not really the type of person to make a business for the sole purpose of just printing money because those types of businesses just make you feel empty especially if you’re as passionate of a person as I am but I think you need a big why to get over the hurdles that come with entrepreneurship.
It’s not for everyone but if you want to really level up as a person it is the best personal development you will ever do. If you want to be a successful entrepreneur you need to constantly be working on yourself and remind yourself why you do what you do. If you don’t remember why you do what you do, take a second to yourself to understand this mission.
What’s next for Kaitlen in 2021
Honestly a lot of things. I have been basically all gas no brakes all year but I am now getting the opportunity to focus on my own solo ventures that I always dreamed of building aka Not Your Future Girlfriend my solo podcast and merch line and also Kaitlen Unlocked which is my official site for my true fans to be able to purchase my monthly photo drops that before the launched had not been before. I’m also working on some super cool tech projects that I am excited about because for once I get to be on the business end of something from start to finish opposed to just being a content creator. That being said, I will continue to stay on OF but I hope to gain traction outside of Only Fans also. It’s scary doing all these new things especially breaking away from WOOF which was all I knew for the past year to go off on my own, however everyone has been wanting me to do this for awhile so I am finally taking the leap and betting on myself. There’s a lot in store these next couple months I hope you guys can join me on this journey by following me on my socials.
What do you think is the secret to success
Trust the process. I know this sounds a little cliche but I really do think that everything happens for a reason. God only gives us challenges that we already have everything within us to overcome so if you’re faced with a challenge just know that you’re already bigger than it so there’s no reason to give it anymore power than it needs to have. You are capable of achieving your dreams, just believe you can, and take action toward it everyday.
