Hi Pasquale and Carolina, please tell us a little about you?
We are Carolina and Pasquale and we have been married for 19 years, we have two children, Alfonso 19 years old and Gaia 10 years old. We also have a dog, 5 year old Kira.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
We are very dedicated to our family and work and always try to see the bright side of things. When there is a problem to face, we do it together because we believe that unity makes strength and so we do it with our children too.
Who is your role model?
We don’t have a reference model, we like to move freely, without preconceptions and without limits. We always try to look beyond all things without stopping at appearances.
How did you get started into the business?
We started one day by chance, with a lot of curiosity and desire to do. One day I asked my husband if he might be interested in being an influencer and he immediately said yes, that he would like to give it a try.
How and when did you started doing Instagram and working into Fashion and Lifestyle?
We started photographing everything that happened to us, the sea, the beach, a single flower……. Slowly the first followers and the first collaborations with companies began to arrive and from there we then understood that we could keep trying and we got to this day.
What is fun and rewarding about it? And what is not?
The gratifying part is that they are built on their own, the lesser part is that precisely because we have always done everything by ourselves, we don’t have outside help and this sometimes becomes a bit heavy.
Did you guys had any experience on filming or editing to start with?
No, we always managed ourselves, with our cell phone we took pictures and made videos.
What did you learn from your biggest failure?
We understood that we must never give up, that as long as we have the strength, we must fight for our right to life. In short, never give up!
The most important thing when you are shooting/filming is?
The importance we give to all our photos is given by the fact that first of all they must bring out the product we are sponsoring, highlight it and give it the right importance, and then we really like taking photos with landscapes, whether it is a small street or a sunset, in short, create an atmosphere.
Now tell us about the huge IG success and what are you doing to keep it going and growing even more?
We continue to play, for us it has always been a game, in full respect of our followers, we maintain our integrity by respecting others, ourselves and our family. Simplicity and humility are the characteristics that distinguish us.
What do you think is the secret to have a successful IG account?
The key lies in the middle, staying humble and down to earth is the basis and then you can do anything by taking care of the thoughts of those around us.
TikTok or Instagram. Pick one and why?
Instagram forever!! We think TikTok is very limiting in the thinking of every single person. There are people who offer us absurd things to see and hear and many others who follow them to the letter as if they were dogs and this is not a good thing on the contrary.
How often do you guys create content and what’s your creative process?
We publish about three times a week, then it depends a lot on the deadlines of the companies. When we receive the product, the first thing we do is choose the location. Then we imprint the photo and then everything else.
When you started your account, did you expected such a success?
No, not at all, we didn’t even know what we were getting into, slowly we saw our profile grow and we were more and more motivated and enthusiastic about continuing but we never thought of getting where we are now.
I bet you guys get millions of it, but what are the best and worst Instagram DM pickup lines you received so far?
Certainly as regards the positives, there is feedback from companies that continue to contact us to be represented by us. As for the negatives, unfortunately there are so many bad people around who would like to see us divided or worse yet, they really don’t want to see us anymore…
What mindsets helped making you so successful?
Usually we compare ourselves to each other, we also refer to our children many times, and many other times we prefer to make mistakes but always with our head.
As a popular influencers you are followed by so many people. How do you feel about that pressure of doing always the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
Sometimes it scares us, puts us in a bit of a crisis and consequently we question everything, but we remain very available on everything and this allows us to establish lasting relationships based on mutual trust with our followers.
What would say are the greatest lessons you learned so far?
During these years we have learned a lot, above all that sincerity always pays, from every point of view.
If you are a book, what would be the title of the book and why?
Surely it would be called “your story, as in fairy tales” … Because it reflects everything we are.
Any advice to entrepreneurs out there?
What we would like to recommend to other influencers is to always offer simple and honest communication, without too many filters or necessarily flaunting something that is not part of one’s being. To remain oneself because we believe it is the trump card for everything.
What book should every entrepreneur read?
We don’t feel like recommending any book, everyone has to follow their instincts, a bit like in life.
What is the toughest decision you had to make in the last few months?
The hardest decision was not to make our whole life public.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
The positive feedback from brands and our followers.
What advice would you give to your younger self and why?
Live your life lightly as if every day were your last.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Definitely pizza.
And your favorite cheat food?
I don’t know.
How would you explain your fashion style?
Is an elegant romantic style with a slight rock edge.
How would your best friend describe you?
Sincere, honest and even too blunt.
What’s next for Pasquale and Carolina in 2023?
We are curious to know it too.
What is your own definition of happiness?
See our children smile.
How is a normal day in your life?
Wake up at 6, quick breakfast, work, a short lunch, let’s keep working, gym, dinner and Netflix.
What is your idea of a perfect Sunday?
Wake up early, breakfast with cappuccino and croissant and the whole day at the beach with the family.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Our loved ones to embrace them once again.
Best advice ever given?
Always listen to yourself and not to the advice of others, also because we are already good at making mistakes on our own.
Do you support any charity?
At the moment no but until recently we did distance adoptions.
Name 3 things you can’t live without?
Our children, our dog and our union.
Where do you see yourself and your career in 5 years from now?
We have already gone too far, we want to live in the present.
Favorite song? Why?
Shallow by Lady Gaga because she totally represents us.
What music do you like?
Pop, rock, classical and jazz music.
What do you think of Social Media?
