The Tanologist features seven products for face and body including a mousse, self-tan water, instant and gradual lotion, oil, primer, and face and body drops that can be added to moisturiser.
The products are designed to develop for as long as they are left on skin; one hour of tanning time would leave a light glow and four hours will give a darker look.
Tomlinson said: “As a make-up artist and beauty nerd, I’m constantly experimenting with different products – mixing tans into my foundation and moisturiser – you name it, I’ve tried it.

When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a make-up artist
How did you get in the industry?
I went on tour with brother and met my brother’s makeup artist Lou Teasdale. From there I became her assistant. I started growing my following and gradually moved into becoming a beauty and fashion influencer.
What is the feeling of being a popular influencer?
I feel so lucky.
What part of your job do you find the most challenging?
I’m shy naturally so it can be difficult to be confident on trips and shoots when the other girls are so outgoing. It’s something that I’m working on!
What do you think is the secret to be a successful influencer?
Being authentic to your brand.

Tanologist is my self tan brands – it’s clean, clear, cruelty free and vegan.
When and why did you decided to be an entrepreneur and create your own brand?
I’ve always loved being tan and using self tanner but I was getting frustrated with tan transferring onto my clothes and sheets, leaving me orange and smelling bad. I decided I wanted to make a product that would eliminate all these problems so I created Tanologist. It’s totally clear so won’t transfer or stain, it comes in 3 shades and is specifically formulated to avoid orange tones to ensure that it gives everyone a natural colour and it also doesn’t have that typical self tan smell.
Now that your products are coming to the US, what challenges do you see in this country vs the Uk and why do you think the US market will be a great success?
In the UK self-tanning is a lot more mainstream than the US. I feel like in the US people are only just starting to tan and don’t know as much about our products. I love this because it means I get to teach people about the benefits and show them how easy and hassle-free tanning can be.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”27343″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]What is the key for Tanologist success?
I think it’s how unique our products are and how passionate we are in ensuring that not only do our products deliver a totally healthy, hassle-free and hydrated bronze but they’re also so easy to use and very Insta-grammable.
What is the toughest decision you had to make in the last few months?
We’ve been making lots of decisions about our new products – it can be difficult when we’re making final decisions on these as I always want to make sure they’re perfect.

Now that the summer is getting closer, what tips and product do you recommend for tanning?
Our Self Tan Drops are great for summer as you can just add them to your skincare or moisturiser in the morning and you’ll be glowing within a few hours.
I also love keeping my Self Tan Water in the fridge during summer so when I apply it it’s super cooling and refreshing.
Is Tanologist just for woman?
Definitely not! Tanologist is for everyone – I’ve even got my boyfriend obsessed.
What kind of music do you listen normally?
R and B.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Spending time with my family.

What is next for Lottie Tomlinson in 2019?
We’re launching new Tanologist products which I’m so excited about and we’ve got lots of exciting brand events and trips coming up which I can’t wait for.

I’m actually really shy which I think surprises people because I’m so open online.
What would be the dream holiday, and who would you go with?
I’d love to take my family to the Maldives.
If you could meet someone who would it be and why?
Kim Kardashian – I’m obsessed with her.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Avocado.
And your favorite cheat food?
Dominos pizza.
What would be a deal breaker on a first date?
A show off – that would totally turn me off.
Which project is still on your bucket list?
I’d love to have my own TV show.
Idea of a perfect Sunday?
Being at home with family
Do you support any charity?
We opened up donations to a bereavement charity after my sister passed away so I want to do more of this to help other people who have been through what I’ve been through.

What does fashion mean to you?
Adapting looks and taking inspo from friends and family to create my own unique look.
How would you explain your fashion style?
