Many fashion models get scouted and start their careers with an agency. How did your fashion journey as a model start?
My journey in modeling began after I was scouted at a local fashion show. I had always been interested in fashion and modeling seemed like the perfect way to express myself. After that I went to the agency in Milan where it all started I was immediately booked for my first shooting for Guess.
Was there a turning point where your Instagram following started to accelerate in growth?
Yes, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I actively leveraged the situation to engage with my audience on Instagram. With people spending more time at home and seeking connection and entertainment online, I saw a significant boost in my Instagram following. I was able to grow by approximately 450k followers during that time, thanks to increased engagement, consistent content creation, and adapting to the changing social media landscape. It was indeed a turning point in my Instagram journey.
What advice do you have for someone looking to grow their Instagram following?
- Quality Content: Post high-quality, engaging content that reflects your interests or niche. Make sure your photos and captions are appealing and interesting.
- Consistency: Maintain a consistent posting schedule to keep your audience engaged. Regular updates keep your followers coming back for more.
- Use Hashtags: Use relevant hashtags to make your posts discoverable to a wider audience. Research popular and niche-specific hashtags for your content.
- Engage with Your Audience: Respond to comments, engage with your followers’ content, and build a sense of community. Genuine interactions can boost your visibility.
- Collaborate: Collaborate with other users or influencers in your niche. This can introduce your profile to new audiences.
- Patient: Growing a following takes time. Be patient and authentic in your interactions.
Can you describe the city of Lugano in Switzerland, where you currently reside? What do you enjoy most about living there?
I really like Lugano’s beautiful scenery, and what’s great is that all the things I enjoy are nearby. If I want to go to the sea, it’s just a two-hour drive to Portofino, one of my favorite places. Milan, a fantastic shopping spot, is only an hour away. Lake Como, a magical place, is just 20 minutes from Lugano. Plus, the Swiss Alps are close by. Lugano’s convenience and peaceful atmosphere make it the perfect place for me to relax after my busy travels.
Before your modeling career took off, what were your early aspirations and dreams growing up in the Czech Republic?
When I was in the Czech Republic, I was studying to become a doctor. But deep down, I always had a dream of being a model. It all started when I did a little fashion show for a local Czech brand. That’s when I realized my true passion was in the fashion world. So, my modeling career began, and it’s amazing how dreams can come true when you follow your heart.
What do you think sets you apart from other models and influencers in the industry?
What sets me apart from other models and influencers in the industry is my individuality and approach. I believe in being authentic and real with my audience, sharing both the high points and challenges of my journey. This genuineness creates a deeper connection with my followers, as they can relate to my experiences and see the real person behind the content. Moreover, my dedication to using my platform for positive change and my passion for creativity are key aspects of what makes me unique in this industry.
Traveling is clearly a significant part of your life. Could you share a travel destination that has had a profound impact on you, and why?
Two places that have meant a lot to me are the Maldives and Namibia. The Maldives is like a dream with its clear blue waters and colorful fish. It made me feel how important it is to take care of our oceans and the beauty they hold.
Namibia’s deserts and big sand dunes were like a different planet. The sunrises there were like magic. Being in those wide, open spaces made me appreciate how amazing nature is, and how important it is to protect it. Both of these places remind me of the beauty and wonder of our world.
Can you tell us more about your experience working with makeup artists and designers? How do they contribute to the overall creative process in the fashion industry?
Working with makeup artists and designers is exciting in the fashion industry. Makeup artists make us look great with their skills, and designers create the clothes we wear. They both bring creativity and vision to fashion. Makeup artists enhance our appearance, and designers set the style direction. Together, they make fashion an artistic experience.
You mentioned that one of your goals is to model in the US. Are there specific American brands or designers you admire and hope to collaborate with?
Yes, I have some American brands and designers I admire like Sherill Hill, Calvin Klein, Retrofete, and as I love shooting lingerie and bikini, Honey Birdette, Beach Bunny Swimwear, but I’m open to working with anyone. Whether it’s well-known names or not, I’m excited to bring my style to the American fashion scene and collaborate with those who like what I do.
In the world of fashion and modeling, trends are constantly evolving. How do you stay updated and adapt to these changes in the industry?
I stay updated in the fashion and modeling world by regularly researching trends, collaborating with industry professionals, attending fashion events, networking, and being adaptable to new styles. This allows me to stay relevant and adapt to changes in the industry.
Your Instagram following is substantial at over 1 million followers. What do you believe attracts your audience to your content, and how do you engage with your followers?
My Instagram following has grown to over 1 million followers. I believe my audience is attracted to my content because of its authenticity and relatability. As a travel blogger exploring luxury resorts worldwide, I aim to inspire people with dreamy vacation destinations. I engage with my followers by responding to comments and messages and creating interactive content like polls and Q&A sessions. This genuine connection and content alignment have contributed to the growth of my Instagram following.
Could you share some of the challenges you’ve faced in your career and how you’ve overcome them?
Competition. The fashion and modeling industry is highly competitive. To stand out, I’ve focused on developing my unique style and brand. Building a strong online presence through social media has also helped me differentiate myself and attract opportunities.
Looking ahead, what are some of your aspirations and plans for the future, both in your modeling career and as an influencer?
In the future, I plan to diversify my modeling work, expand internationally, and continue personal growth. As an influencer, I’ll focus on promoting positivity and sustainability, while also exploring unique travel destinations and collaborating with like-minded individuals and brands. My goal is to have a lasting impact on the fashion and influencer industries.
