Describe yourself in 3 words?
Positive, comical, achievers
Who is your biggest supporter?
We are each other’s biggest supporters! We support each other no matter what!
How did you get started in the industry?
We used to make Instagram videos of us dancing to different songs. Our Instagram page started to blow up, so then we started a YouTube channel. Because of our social media success, we began doing special appearances and live shows. At one show, our agents at BYSB Talent noticed people’s interest in us. Our teams connected and we emerged as professional actors.
What was your first acting role?
We were the “Oakland Kids” in Black Panther who were playing basketball at the end of the movie.
What is the best and worst part of being an actor?
The best part about being an actor is the experience of working at different locations while meeting and bonding with new people. The pleasure of acting is the best part! The worst part of being an actor is when we have to leave set and go back to school. We love staying on set and acting more than anything!
Best advice ever given?
Be yourself! It may seem like a vague statement but it’s actually very powerful. Many people get caught up trying to live like someone else that they forget about themselves. A lot of people stress themselves out worrying about other people’s opinions, when all they have to do is be themselves.
Tell us about your work in HBO’s gritty new teen drama “Euphoria?”
“Euphoria” is about a group of teens trying to navigate high school while dealing with the challenges of sex, drugs and relationships. We play Troy and Roy, the arrogant, 14 year old, twin brothers of Christopher McKay, with an inappropriate sense of humor.
How is working with a big name like Zendaya?
It was crazy working with Zendaya because we both used to watch her almost everyday for years. We didn’t know how excited we would actually be once we saw her but once we did we were starstruck for about 10 seconds. After that, we continued on like she was one of our friends and everyone had fun. She’s a very cool person to be around and to work with.
And working with Executive Producer Drake?
Our experience with Drake was incredible. We’ve been fans of Drake since we were very little so to work with him was unimaginable. The best part about working with Drake was when he told us he was proud of us and that we were incredible. That motivated us to work even harder at everything we do.
Now about your successful YouTube channel, how did you guys decided to create one and what is the feeling or having a huge viewership?
We were doing Instagram videos and our supporters asked to make a YouTube videos. Our first video had 60,000 views so we’ve always had a pretty large viewership. It feels good once you see your numbers start to grow for your viewers and subscribers. Our continued growth has been encouraging.
How often do you guys upload new content?
We try to post weekly but if we have a crazy hectic schedule then we might miss a week.
What is the secret for a successful YouTube channel?
A successful YouTube channel isn’t just a lot of views. You have to be yourself to gain that real audience that really is interested in everything you do. If you fake it, you won’t be happy with your results. Just be yourself and stay consistent!
What other projects you have been part of?
Black Panther, How High 2 and Tyson’s Run
Who is your favorite Actor/Actress? And why?
We both actually have the same favorite actor, and it is Chris Tucker. We love Chris Tucker because of his comedic personality and he has his own unique style. He’s incredible.
Three things you can’t leave your house without?
Tyler: My phone and wallet
Tristan: Just my phone and wallet. I don’t need much.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Happiness isn’t represented by materialistic things. Happiness is when you personally can look at anything positively. No matter what’s going on, you know things are going to be better. Happiness is when you have a positive vibe and you are able to spread it to those you are close too. Happiness is the ability to smile throughout the storm and not think twice about the storm, but dream about the sunshine. Happiness is positivity, and we represent it as best as we can!
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Tristan: I would want to meet Bernie Mac because he’s one of the funniest comedians ever.
Tyler: I would want to meet young Chris Tucker from Friday and Rush Hour era. He seems like a very cool person to be around. People compare our personalities to him often.
What music do you like?
We both listen to all kinds of music but we love hip-hop and pop music.
Tyler: A lot of people don’t know that I also love the old R&B classics. I listen to them everyday.
Tristan: I love the Hip-Hop more than anything. The style of the new Hip-Hop music is unlike any other.
Your idea of a perfect Sunday is?
We would like to wake up to a hot breakfast. Walk for about 3 hours. Then play video games with all our friends online while listening to the 85 South Show.
How do you see yourself in 5 years?
We see ourselves doing what we are doing now but on a much bigger scale! Still acting, but doing it full time while also consistently making YouTube videos and collaborating with brands to make amazing products like movies, clothes, music, etc.

Quote: Many people don’t realize how powerful being positive is. Positivity is our superpower. Positivity is being able to be in a bad situation and only see good. Many people can’t see the good in things, and that’s why a lot of people aren’t truly happy with life situations. Our job is to spread positivity as far as we can, because why have this super power if we aren’t going to give it to someone else?
