Check out our interview with Orange County Native healer, teacher, mentor, and spiritual guide Shamananda. Her mission is to guide others on individualized and personal journeys of Holistic Healing and Spiritual Wellness to find peace with themselves and the world around them.
As our lives slowly shift back to “normal,” it is crucial for people to find peace with themselves and the world as we begin healing from the pandemic. Holistic Healing is the combination of traditional medicine and alternative therapies. The two mixed-methods create a whole-body healthcare approach. These practices treat your whole body, mind, and soul as one piece to fix the underlying causes of disease to help improve your overall wellness.

Describe yourself in 3 words?
I’m unconditional love!
Name one your strengths?
I am able to live in the present moment without judgment.
Best advice ever given?
Let go of the need to know.
What kind of clients do you work with? Any age or particular business field?
I’m blessed to work with toddlers all the way up to clients in their 90’s. I’ve worked with people who are unemployed, grocery store workers, housewives, nurses, psychiatrists, surgeons, entertainment industry professionals, politicians, celebrities and professional athletes, to name a few.
What is fun and rewarding about what you do? And what is not?
There are so many amazing stories and experiences that people share with me, and it’s such an honor to be a small part of their stories.
What did you learn from your biggest failure?
I learned that there is no such thing as failure, there is only opportunities for growth.
What would say are the greatest lessons you learned so far in this business?
I’ve learned that by far, the biggest blessing is the experience of people transforming their lives, and what a gift it is to be a part of that. It’s something I am very grateful for.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Happiness to me is the experience of the silencing of the monkey mind. What I mean is, the noisy voice in people’s heads that fill them with anxiety, anger or depression. Once that voice left for me, that’s when I found my peace.
How would your best friend describe you?
I’d like to think I become best friends with everyone I meet! I’ve been told that I’m loving, wise, funny and a true harbinger of positive change.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Buddha. I’d love to just hug that man!
