Hi Preston, please tell us a little about you?
I am an American stuntman and actor. I’ve been in the entertainment industry since I was a teenager and I grew up in Newport Beach, California.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Creative, driven, strong
Who is your biggest supporter?
My mom’s always been there for me and that support that has kept me grounded.
How’s a typical day in your life?
Wake up, have a smoothie, go for a walk to clear my mind, then do something creative.
How did you get started into acting and working as a stuntman?
I started as a teenager in modeling and small roles in acting. I realized I wanted to do stunts because it was away to be creative and focus on the art and not worry about just acting.
What is the best and worst part of being a stuntman?
The best part is bringing the project to life and being that powerful figure on the screen that makes an impact on the audience.
Do you have a favorite actress or actor that inspires you?
Jim Carrey inspires me because he can get in touch with his characters so well and can play a variety of roles. He also seems highly intelligent and caring.
Best advice ever given?
“You’re ok get back up and run it again.” Obviously sometimes you are not ok, and you need to admit that. But this quote helped me be as a stuntman because we get hurt a lot and face tricky situations so when something happens, I take a breather and saying that quote calms me.
What advice would you give to your younger self and why?
Have more self-confidence. It is easy at times to lose confidence and that affects my job and everyday life. Just believing I can do what I am determined to do would be what I would say to my younger self.
What are the five things you can’t live without?
A creative outlet, family, faith, staying healthy, constantly improving my mental strength
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Johnny Cash, the man was so original and did not care if you did not like it.
What is you favorite song? Why?
Name by the Goo Goo Dolls. It takes me back to growing up and having two versions of yourself. Choose the right one but remember the other version is right there if you need it.
Name one your strengths?
Being stubborn, if I set my mind to something I will not stop till I achieve it.
What kind of music do you like?
I mostly listen to 90’s rock. Collective Soul, Goo Goo Dolls, Better Than Ezra.
Where would you like your career to be in the next 5 years?
I want to inspire and motivate people. Right now, I am really into building my fitness brand and sharing my knowledge of training.
What do you think of Social Media?
Is it what you make of it. I use it to connect with people and send out positive vibes.
