Kind, Generous, Funny.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in a little village which is based in Essex.
How did you get in the industry?
One day I was sitting at home watching YouTube and I really wanted to be a youtuber / influencer, so I started with reaching out to creators and becoming friends with them, to then attending different events and building my name in the industry to then building a following and having people support me with what I do.
Name one your strengths?
I would probably say communication, this is only recently but my communication and my professionalism wasn’t very strong as I was working for myself and didn’t know what I was really doing, but I learnt and improved as time went on.
How’s a typical day in your life?
I’m always out and about around the U.K, meeting up with different companies, Influencer & Youtube Friends, and also attending different press events and launches too.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Helping other people succeed, knowing that I help so many people and change so many peoples mind sets is incredible.
What part of your job do you find the most challenging?
The most challenging will be getting let down, not only by getting false hope from different companies, but also friends can drop you, use you and you don’t really know who cares for you until you need someone in your life or if you’re going through a rough patch.
What did you learn from your biggest failure? (if any)
Everyone makes mistakes but I see it as an achievement, you can learn from your personal mistakes and ensure you don’t make the same mistakes again and you can grow from them.
Are there busy and quiet periods during the year as an influencer?
Yes I agree that there is busy and quiet periods, it really does depend on if you have anything booked, or have been invited to an event or press related event.
Any advice to other influencers/entrepreneurs?
The advise I would give is if you want something do it, take the risks, don’t let anyone or even your own family or friends hold you back, let yourself make your own life choices, as all you need is that one opportunity that could change your life, and if you don’t take these opportunities they won’t ever come to you again, it really is life changing.
What kind of clients do you work with?
I work with a lot of companies from brands, festivals, press events, tv companies, food / restaurants, to influencers, actors, artists, influencers and many more exciting clients.
What would say are the greatest lessons you learned so far?
Definitely independence, I feel I have achieved so much from leaving school with no grades, to now travelling the U.K. and parts of America and its growing daily is such an insane experience and to have built it all up from myself is very honouring and proud.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 year?
Honestly, anything can happen in 5 months let alone 5 years, but I want to create my own PR / Artist Company, to help develop other influencers and industry people to give them life changing opportunities and to help them succeed and make a difference, I would also like to be a reality TV star.
What was the last book you read?
I don’t read books, my life is 24/7 social media.
What would be the dream holiday, and who would you go with?
I would love to travel the world one of my close friends Samy who goes by the name online as @samyspage is currently travelling the world and I’m so jealous, there isn’t one pacific location that I would like to attend.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
I would probably say Ariana Grande, her music is really amazing, and she works super hard to deliver something very unique, she also seems very humble and is also very good looking.
What is next for Josh Clayden in 2019?
I’m not too sure myself, I just take life at the moment how it comes, and if an opportunity comes up I will take it.
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time I like to meet up with my friends who are also in the industry, we go out grab food, and have a good catch up on life.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Strawberry’s or Raspberry’s.
And your favorite cheat food?
Chinese.
What music do you like?
I like a big mixture of music but nothing in pacific, I genuinely listen to radio one or capital and listen to new realises and charts.
What do you like to watch on Tv?
Keeping up with the Kardashians.
Do you support any charities?
I love to get involved and support charities, I have helped and supported a lot in the past and hopefully will be helping a huge one this year on a special project.
What do you think of Social Media?
I spend so much of my life on social media, it has helped me gain so much experience and so many friends, it has also helped me achieve my life time goals that I have always dreamed of doing. But it can also be very hard at times, especially because I get used a lot because of what I know and who I know, so people will walk over me, then drop me when they no longer want to know me, so it is hard and sad at times but you have to keep your real friends close and just focus on yourself and focus on yourself doing well, as your time will come eventually, but it also takes up so much of my time, I don’t have any other hobbies and it’s just social media 24/7, it’s not a normal life and it’s taking over my life.
I never spend time with my other friends and family and at times it can be quite upsetting, but I love travelling the world and doing what I love also, so it definitely has its up and downs same with anything in life.
