Check out our interview with International Model, Activist, and Co-Founder of the “I’m making a difference” foundation Allison Kimball.
Allison lives in New York City where she is signed with the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency. Modeling since the age of 12, this female powerhouse has set out to show the industry that she is a new type of “model” and every body is beautiful. Taking social media by storm, the tiny 5’6” model has accumulated over 141,000+ Instagram followers for her unique modeling look. Her distinct curly hair and fox eyes catch the attention of clients worldwide.
Now on her entrepreneurial side, with a podcast and two books in the works, she is also a co-founder of the “I’m Making A Difference” a campaign, which is focused on uniting Millennials and Gen Z through sharing important facts on global matters in order to make a difference and impact the world. All of the information shared is fact checked by experts at Harvard Med, Partners in Health, and Seed Global Health. Many celebrities joined the I’m Making A Difference Instagram campaign, which encouraged Gen Z to flatten the curve during the stay at home order for COVID 19.

Name one your strengths?
Patience and being able to see things from different perspectives.
The most important thing when you are shooting is?
Stay on track! Staying on track for me means keeping my energy high, my mind focused and clear, and bringing as much warm and happy energy as possible to set!
Why did you decide to be an entrepreneur?
When I got into modeling, I knew that I was equally as interested in the business side of the industry. I always knew that modeling was super fun for me, but I just loved the true businesswoman aspects of this empowering industry as well. I love working with brands, establishing new ideas and outlooks, and anything else that deals first-hand with the business aspects of the modeling industry.
What’s next for Allison Kimball in 2021?
A podcast! And hopefully get at least 2 of my books published as well. More to come-stay tuned!
Which project is still on your bucket list?
To have at least one aspect of my life be like Joanna Gaines. I absolutely love interior design, and if I can incorporate that into my life somehow, that would be ideal.
Now you are a big influencer on Instagram, can you share some tips for keeping your account interesting?
Trust your gut! If I see feeds with certain layouts that look nice, I don’t always jump to go and copy them. I think a pure sense of originality comes from imperfection. I don’t want to come off as all glitz and glam all the time, so for me it is important to have a bit of a lens into my real life as well.
You are followed by so many people. How do you feel about that pressure of doing always the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
Honestly, it is truly the biggest abundance of gratitude. I love it. I don’t get nervous ever, and the ways I can take the pressure off of myself is to trust that being 100% myself is enough. If I am simply “me”, then that will be more than enough to suffice and fill.
What is your favorite healthy food?
I love anything vegan. I love the novelty of it. I was vegan for a full year not too long ago. It’s funny, because even if I eat something that is most definitely “junk food”, but it’s vegan, I will tell myself it’s healthier. But my favorite food of all time is watermelon.
And your favorite cheat food?
Cinnamon rolls!
What is your workout routine these days?
I have recently gotten into weight lifting! I absolutely love it, and I have seen rapid growth in achieving my fitness goals. My biggest thing to stick by is to not push myself too hard. If I safely advance and do it at a pace that isn’t miserable, not only does it prevent me from getting hurt, but it allows for faster progress and a much more fun time doing it. “Ego-lifing” is a no-go.
Idea of a perfect Sunday?
Wake up at 9:00am, make a smoothie, walk to the beach with a dog and go surfing. Take a break for lunch and ride my bike to get a vegan sandwich. Lay on the beach and hang with a bunch of friends then go back and shower to go out to a nice beachside dinner. Go on lil adventures at night and explore and see a sky full of stars.
