Hi Jasmine, please tell us a little about you?
I am a model with over 9 years of experience in the fashion industry. As well as the owner of my own marketing agency Crave Beauty Studios. I was born and raised in Tucson Arizona. I moved to Los Angeles in February 2019.
How has this changed your life?
Having a very versatile look and huge passion for being in front of the camera has allowed me to successfully venture into print, commercials, and acting. In addition to my modeling work, I now get to express my creativity as a creative director and marketing specialist. Producing high- end photoshoots that showcase my client’s products in the best light possible. I’ve studied and learned ways to leverage viral marketing tactics to increase brand awareness and drive revenue. I’m truly manifesting the life I always dreamed of living here in Los Angeles through hard work and consistency.
What type of projects have you been apart of?
I recently booked a global print campaign with Cadillac vehicles, set to be released sometime this year. It’s one of my biggest modeling jobs yet and was such an amazing experience. Additionally I’ve had the pleasure of traveling to some amazing parts of the world to work with corporations like “The Westin” and “Hyatt” resorts.
What’s your advice for someone wanting to pursue modeling or acting?
I would say invest in your craft. That means moving to a larger city if you have to, building your portfolio, collaborating with other artist, networking, and investing in acting classes.
You can always tell how bad someone wants something by how hard they work for it. After years of gaining experience and working towards my goals I was able to make my creative life my full time income. If you really want it you’ll practice and study every chance you get. Lastly, don’t follow the hype! Always do your research on brands, modeling agencies, and any business deals. Make sure you are building a solid team because your career is nothing to play around about.
The most important thing when you are shooting is?
Modeling is like a dance, and it’s key to learn how to be fluent. I like going to the gym, or taking yoga classes regularly to keep my body use to motion and movement. Same with acting, in order to stay sharp you have to test your abilities. One on one acting classes have been very beneficial for me and I would definitely recommend them.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
I truly believe in manifestation but it takes tons of focus, determination and passion.The most rewarding part of my work is knowing I inspired someone else to chase their dreams and not give up. I am dedicated to empowering fellow entrepreneurs, models and actors and encourage them to be resilient.
