This savvy entrepreneur recently launched her two beauty lines MS Pui Yi Cosmetics (sold out within a week and now relaunching worldwide) and the beloved Kiseki Skincare.
Just last week, MSPUYI also added singing to her resume with the release of her new single “Men-Mory,” produced by DJ Goldfish, Malaysia’s most famous DJ and award-winning producer who tours the world’s biggest festival stages, including Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, and EDC.

Hi MSPUIYI, please tell us a little about you?
Hello, I’m MSPUIYI, I’m 24 years old, from Malaysia
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Sexy, fun, adventurous
Who is your role model?
My parents are my role models. My Mother taught me to keep patience and work hard.
How and when did you start into modeling?
When I was 16 years old.
What is fun and rewarding about modeling? And what is not?
Of course, you can get to connect with a lot of people in different industries. However, at the beginning I was not getting paid a lot, And I will have to be on a strict diet all
the time to remain trim and healthy.
Can you name a few of the brands you are working or have worked with?
I just recently opened the doors for brand collaboration, and am keen to collaborate with
Victoria Secret, as their runway show inspired me to be who I am now.
What did you learn from your biggest failure?
To never give up.
The most important thing when you are shooting is?
Get enough sleep a day before.
What’s your advice for the newer models and influencers?
Understand what you want, go for it and never give up.
How did you get started into the social media business?
I started as a model when I was 16, doing some casual outdoor shoots.
What mindsets helped making you so successful and popular?
Stop Fearing Failure. Instead, be willing to fail as we always learn from mistakes, and learning is a great journey towards success.
Tell us about being one of the Asia’s highest-paid social media influencers?
Being recognized in public, like when dining in restaurants or doing groceries, and realizing that me myself can be quite influential in a lot of different way, that keeps me thinking what else I can do in order to help more people in the society
When you started your Social Media accounts, did you expect such a success?
No, not at all. I’m so surprised.
As a popular model, entrepreneur and influencer you are followed by so many people. How do you feel about that pressure of doing always the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
Think positively, focus on good things and practice gratitude.
Now let’s talk about being a Beauty CEO. Can you tell us about your brands MS Pui Yi Cosmetics and the beloved Kiseki Skincare?
When I was young I always wanted to own my own brand, and yeah, I’ve made it. It is a tough yet promising journey, I used to doubt myself a lot but now I believe more in myself, and I hope that the people around me shouldn’t be doubting themselves. As i can do it, you can too.
What mindsets helped making you so successful?
I always put myself in challenging new situations. It makes me gain confidence by overcoming them
What did you learn from your biggest failure?
Do not be afraid to speak up, do whatever you think is right. Most importantly, we learn from our mistakes, and do not repeat the same mistake.
What is different from your company to other ones in the market? And what do you think is the secret to have a successful business in a competitive market like yours?
Knowing and understanding what people need is the key to make a business successful.
Once you have this knowledge; you can use it to persuade potential and existing customers that buying from you at their best interest.
In the music side, tell us about your new single “Men-Mory,” produced by DJ Goldfish? What’s the story behind the song?
It was a song about heartbreaks, a girl being cheated by her boyfriend again and again, finally chose to speak up, more like promoting women’s sense of self-worth
Who influenced you and why did you choose to make music?
Throughout my life, music has always been a major influence. It has the power to change my mood when I’m feeling down, but the thing I find most intriguing about music is that it doesn’t always end up improving your mood: like all forms of art, it imitates life, which is not always portrayed in a positive light.
If you are a book, what would be the title of the book and why?
“In search of depth” Deeper conversations, deeper connections, deeper understanding- these are the things which I look for in my life.
Any advice to entrepreneurs out there?
Don’t expect good results right away and adapt to various situations, good and bad.
What advice would you give to your younger self and why?
You are good enough because you are capable of kindness, love, and competence

Comfortable.

Honest, detailed, and very organized

What is your own definition of happiness?
Happiness is that feeling that comes over you when you know life is good and you can’t help but smile. When people are successful, or safe, or lucky, they feel happiness.
How is a normal day in your life?
Wake up in the morning, do a little bit of stretching, feed my cats, cook and literally just chilling.
What is your idea of a perfect Sunday?
Netflix and chips
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
My grandmother passed away a few years ago. I still regret that I didn’t visit her more often. She took care of me when I was younger. I remember she would accompany me to the tutorial centre or take me with her when she went to the market.
Best advice ever given?
Be patient and persistent. Life is not so much what you accomplish as what you overcome.
Do you support any charity?
Yes. We all know that people are concerned about the growing poverty, but they have a single excuse that they cannot do anything about it. you should now that even a single dollar can make a huge change so you should not stop giving.

When it comes to music, I can hardly decide what is my favorite! I love music so much, I listen to my Spotify daily to destress my mind or to escape reality to imagine.

I think social media is a great way to stay in touch with family and friends. There is no doubt it is
