Gabi is, first and foremost, a storyteller. But as a multi-faceted artist, she channels her creative energies through song writing, singing, choreographing, dancing and photography. She is an unconventional musician coming to music first through dance. A lifelong dancer, she grew up immersed in a rich and diverse variety of music genres, ranging from the classics to Hip Hop. The result is an eclectic, unique perspective and sound to her music. Gabi sees music as the universal language and the vehicle for the stories she sees all around her in the world. Avoiding labels or any specific genre, she prefers to follow the natural path of every song sent through her to the world.
She is keen to innovate and fuse various genres, like jazz and rap, to deliver impactful tales through music. Gabi has created her new music leveraging the key component of her Berklee education – the collaboration of her peers.

I’m curious to hear what it’s been like building relationships with your fans through social media?
To be honest it is something I am still trying to figure out. I want to build genuine authentic relationships with my fans, but that means you have to find them first. In today’s World there is so much information overload and rising above that chatter or noise can be really difficult. There are lots of ways to “build your numbers” but to be honest it is less about numbers and more about finding your “tribe” or the people who vibe with you. I love this sweatshirt I have from Mayfair that says “Use the Internet For Good Again” and this resonates with me because we have become obsessed with getting numbers of followers and likes, and what we really need is real human connection. So I am a “work in progress’ on this front and I am currently exploring and brainstorming ways to find the folks who will make up my fans or “tribe”. I would love for folks to give my music a listen and if it resonates then drop me a DM or a comment on my socials to let me know how you like to be engaged and feel valued by the artists you follow.
Tell us about your New EP?
My new EP is deeply personal as the theme for each song comes directly from my life. Each of these songs relate to milestones in my life that pushed me to grow as a person and learn about myself in both good and bad ways. My biggest inspiration for writing music is to make people feel something and connect with the stories I share. At my core I write from personal experiences so I put myself out there which takes courage as it leaves you vulnerable in a World that can be cruel. Taking this approach allows us to embrace our humanity and create meaningful connections. I think our World needs more compassion, empathy, and vulnerability because it allows all the beauty of our humanity to shine. If I role model this behavior I am being the change I want to see in the World and inviting others to join me. I ultimately want my music to change people’s lives in meaningful ways, so they feel connected to themselves and others and help each other through all the different journeys of life. Our World needs more Positivity, and my music is one of the vehicles I use to influence that. My EP “Metamorphosis” reflects this messaging, and I am hopeful that it will resonate with my fans so together we seek to change our World in ever more impactful ways.
What’s the story behind “Metamorphosis?”
What went into this EP represents my journey through Berklee where I was immersed in a pool of talented peers while learning from amazing mentors/teachers/artists. These years were full of opportunity and challenge which nurtured my fully faceted artistry. Beginning as a total novice compared to most of my peers it took courage, conviction, and commitment to complete the journey. I chose the title “Metamorphosis” because it reflects the evolution and growth not just at Berklee but in life. We all are living though super challenging times and facing immeasurable losses. It is impossible to be unchanged by the experience. The themes these songs reflect include loss, love, social change, and inclusion so I hope there is something for everyone to relate to. At its core this hEP is representative of growth and change culminating in beauty which is by definition “metamorphosis”.
What are the five things you can’t live without?
Tucker who is my 2-year-old Mini-Berne doodle. He acts like a little boy in a dog costume, he radiates joy and always has something to say (he actually tries to talk all the time).
My People I Love: (my mom, my brother Josh, and my boyfriend Mike) they are my biggest supporters and number 1 fans always
My phone because I love to stay connected to my fans and friends through social media.
My Nord piano because I love to sit down at the keys and just let my playing inspire my new music and songs.
My mini skincare fridge. Random I know but when you are super busy it can be easy to forget to take care of yourself. Skincare is my favorite form of self-care; it keeps my skin healthy and makes me feel happy and revitalized.
Best advice ever given?
Always get up one time more than you get knocked down.
Believe in yourself always.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I don’t have just one style; I am bit eclectic and variable. You can find me in a dressy dress or street wear depending on my mood, what I am doing and the weather. I love to find cool old vintage pieces, and unique items and pair them with very contemporary pieces. My fashion is like my genre, variable and diverse with a tendency to “color outside the lines” and do what feels right to me.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Happiness is doing what you love and having others love it too! Be your authentic self! It is so important to know who you are, what matters to you and stay true to that. Too many people chase what the World tells them matters and it becomes an endless journey with no “happy ending”. My recipe for happiness is 1) Know your purpose and live it, 2) be grateful for your blessings and share them, and 3) appreciate and value the people you love.
Any exciting news you want to share with us?
I am completing my dual degree at Berklee in Songwriting and Professional Music (Production and Music Business concentrations). In my last semester I added a Minor in Musical Theater Writing. That may seem strange, but I actually started out in Musical Theater as a kid and recently rediscovered that love while taking Songwriting for Musical Theater. I LOVE the newish Broadway shows like “Jagged Little Pill”, “Dear Evan Hanson”, “Waitress” and “Hamilton”. While I adore old Broadway the new way of storytelling I see in these more current shows really appeals to me. Going to see “Six” soon and so excited. Really keen to explore being a part of this new wave of Broadway shows. Finally, I am working on my next EP. Timing “Metamorphosis” to coincide with the Fall school semester since it is my Capstone Project meant some songs were not ready to be “born” yet. The next EP is not titled yet but stay tuned for more exciting details about that very soon. I’m excited to jump back into the studio with these next four tunes and hope to be dropping the next EP in June. I also am in the process of booking some live shows into the new year and maybe even a small east coast tour by the middle of summer. Graduating in May 2022 will be a highlight of 2022. So very busy but very exciting time in my life which I can’t wait to share with all of you so please follow me on my socials. Always keen to hear from fans so please reach out, it could influence my exciting projects that are coming!
