Describe yourself in 3 words?
Unique
Energetic
Kind
Where did you grow up?
Chicago, IL
How’s a typical day in your life?
I get up early to get on the school bus by 6:15 am. I may have a script to learn for an audition. After school I usually have tumbling or all-star cheer practice in addition to homework.
How did you get in the industry?
I did an open casting call for a director’s website. My God-Father was signed with my agency and sent them the clip of that commercial and some photos of me. I had an interview with them and the rest is history.
What part of your job do you find the most challenging?
I don’t love talking about myself. It feels like bragging. I work hard but I also know that I am blessed. I want people to feel like they can do anything.
How did you got selected for “Chicago Med?”
My agency called me for the audition. I had to pretend to have a medical condition that I didn’t know much about. It was challenging and I was really grateful that they thought that I did a good job.
What the series is about?
It is a medical drama.
And about your role as Keisha Jones?
I cannot reveal too much about Keisha. She is just in this episode as a kid with a medical issue.
What other projects you have been part of?
I have been in several commercials. Most people know me from my Humira commercial. I am excited because I am in a movie called The Woman in the Window where I play Amy Adams and Anthony Mackie’s daughter. It comes out in May.
What would say are the greatest lessons you learned so far?
That everything is not for you. There are lots of auditions.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Happiness is making others feel good.
Which project is still on your bucket list?
I would love to do anything with Yara Shahidi, Marsai Martin, Taraji P. Henson, Marlon Wayans or The Rock (The Game Plan is one of my favorite movies)
What’s next for Mariah Bozeman in 2019?
More auditions and cheer. I am hoping to get my full (tumbling term) and another big role before 2020.
Something people don’t know about you?
People think I am funny but I am the least funny person in my family.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 year?
Hopefully I will have a recurring role on a tv series or a big movie role.
What would be the dream holiday, and who would you go with?
I would take my family and friends to Hawaii.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Michael B Jordan…he is my idol.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Salmon.
And your favorite cheat food?
Mac and cheese (I make a great one)
Idea of a perfect Sunday?
Cheer, Friends, and Canes (chicken restaurant)
What do you like to watch on Tv?
Blackish and Andi Mac (before it ended)
Do you support any charities?
I promote the Marcus Martin Foundation named after my cousin.
What do you think of Social Media?
It can be awesome to share
