Hi Ryan, please tell us a little about you?
Hi! Thank you for having me. Ok, I am 12 years old. I love acting, dance, gymnastics and singing. I am currently playing Noah Benson on TV’s longest running primetime drama Law and Order SVU!
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Motivated. Kind. Curious.
How did you get started into acting?
I started acting when I was three years old. It was a Toys R Us commercial. Playing with all of the toys, seeing all of the lights and equipment and unlimited snacks sealed the deal for me.
What is the best and worst part of being an actor?
The best part of being an actor for me is the family and friendships you create working on different projects. I’ve made so many lifelong friends. The worst part, probably the rejection. I’ve learned to audition and move on! Sometimes you can’t help but be sad when there is a project you really wanted.
Tell us about your work in popular NBC’s series “Law and Order: SVU,” and your role as Noah Benson?
I love playing Noah. I have been lucky enough to grow up with the character. I started working on Law and Order when I was seven years old and will turn thirteen this January. I love that we are starting to see Noah discover who he is and find his voice.
What other projects have you been part of?
I have been so lucky to be a part of amazing projects. I recently worked on a new Podcast film with Kiernan Shipka and that was really cool and something new. Law and Order fans will be excited to hear that I have been working on SVU’s sister show Organized Crime.
What kind of roles do you like or would like to play and why?
Drama. I really don’t know why because I’m a pretty lighthearted person. Maybe that is why. Playing the opposite of who I am can be fine. Give me all the drama, scary movies, or emotional breakdown scenes.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
Seeing the final product and how it comes together is always so much fun. But really, it’s hearing from the amazing fans who watch.
What’s your advice for the newer actors?
Keep at it and keep learning! Act because you love the craft and because performing is in your heart.
What would you say are the greatest lessons you learned so far in this business?
The greatest lesson I have learned working in this business is to always make friends with the head of kraft services so that you can get unlimited assortments of candy! Kidding! Kinda. Maybe patience and remembering to always take your work seriously but never take yourself too seriously.
What’s next for Ryan Buggle in 2023?
Turning 13! Becoming a teenager! I’m super excited for that. Also, stay tuned for the winter premiere of SVU its going to be epic!
Where do you see yourself and your career in 5 years from now?
Hopefully doing my own stunts on some sort of Marvel Superhero Movie!
