Check out our interview with actress Nicole Huff who is widely known for her role as Paige Aquino on Netflix’s new hit series “Tiny Pretty Things.”
Tiny Pretty Things follows the world of an elite ballet academy, and charts the rise and fall of young adults who live far from their homes, each standing on the verge of greatness or ruin. Nicole’s character Paige is a corps dancer at The Archer School of Ballet whose job at the Michi Beach Club takes a dark turn, leading to a chilling revelation about ASB.
Coming up next, Nicole can also be seen starring in the new police drama series Pretty Hard Cases about a fun and honest portrayal of two radically different female detectives in their early 40s.

Describe yourself in 3 words
Loving Passionate Hard-working
Who is your biggest supporter?
My mom
What’s a typical day in your life like?
It varies. I wake up, brush my teeth, clean my face, and drink lemon water. I check my social media and then check my list of things to do. Usually I have zoom meetings, film or TV sides to prep, maybe a fitting or interview and school work to do. I eat, work out or go for a walk, read a book or watch Netflix, spend time with my family, call a friend and then do my skincare routine before heading to bed.
How did you get started with acting?
I got started with acting when I was six years old. Growing up, I had lots of energy and my parents fed off of that and decided to enroll me in activities like singing, piano, figure skating, dancing, soccer, gymnastics, karate, swimming, guitar and violin. They put me in a talent pageant where a few people came up to my parents saying I should get a talent agent so I did and landed the first audition I went out on.
How has it changed your life?
It’s helped me develop such an appreciation for the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. It’s allowed me to have a thick skin and inspired me to go after what I want, work hard and not give up. It also let me develop relationships with so many amazing people in the industry.
What is the best and also the most challenging part of being an actress?
The best part is getting to meet so many creative people and pursue your passion. The most challenging part is going through a lot of rejection because it’s inevitable in the industry.
Tell us about your work in Netflix’s new hit series “Tiny Pretty Things” And about your role as Paige Aquino?
I play one of the dance students at the Archer School of Ballet. She’s fun, outgoing, loving and sassy. She’s also vulnerable, strong and Paige Aquino is an important catalyst in the series for the storyline she goes through.
What’s it like working alongside such a talented cast?
It’s terrific getting to be around such a talented and creative group of people. When you have a goal in mind and everyone has that same goal to create a beautiful piece of work, it’s a wonderful thing.
Now tell us about your work in “Pretty Hard Cases?”
I play Alina Taylor who goes through the aftermath of her parents’ nasty divorce. She’s interrogated by the main character, Sam who’s a detective and the show is an action-packed comedy that follows the lives of Sam and Kelly as detectives.
What kind of roles do you like or would like to play and why?
I would love to be able to try many different genres of projects and roles to be able to show variety in my work. I would also like to portray interesting and empowering characters that display representation because that’s what I gravitate towards. I’d love to also use my singing, dancing, karate or figure skating skills one day.
Do you have a favorite actress or actor that inspires you?
Too many to name! I love Angelina Jolie, Leonardo Dicaprio, Rachel McAdams, Meryl Streep, Joaquin Phoenix, Jennifer Lopez etc.
Best advice ever given?
Live your life to the fullest because you don’t know what tomorrow will bring.
What can we expect of Nicole Huff in 2021?
I’ve been working on my original pop EP music so hopefully that will be released soon. Pretty Hard Cases comes out February 3 and nothing I can disclose yet in terms of new projects. I will be signing with my talent agents and talent managers as my representation in Los Angeles very soon.
What are the five things you can’t live without?
My lemon water, my phone, my laptop and my pillow.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Princess Diana because I’m intrigued by her charisma, history and thoughts. Shirley Temple because of her beauty, talent and success.
What is your favorite song? Why?
The Roof by Mariah Carey because it’s foreboding, mysterious and soulful. I also love that MC writes all her music.
Who is your role model?
My mom because she came to Canada by herself when she was 19 which was her dream and she is a loving, independent, giving and strong person. In terms of the industry, I look up to Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Florence Pugh and Jennifer Lawrence to name a few.
