Alaura Lynne is a Dallas, TX native who will not only share her music, but also her uncompromising journey of discovering her own voice, cutting her teeth in the industry by recording commercial jingles, and then finally recording her own music.
Pulling her influences from country icons Shania Twain, Leanne Rhymes, Kasey Musgraves and more, Alaura’s clear country twang with hooks, sassy kiss-offs, and radiant sparkle is set to become one of the defining titles for the “I don’t like country, but…” crowd. Alaura began recording her debut album at the onset of the pandemic in 2020, and this single is the first giddy statement of the upcoming full length album.

Hi Alaura, please tell us a little about you?
I’m a country artist from Dallas, TX.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
positive, loving, dedicated
We’re sure you have been asked this a million times but how did you get in the industry?
I was shy growing up and never sang in front of anyone, so I didn’t realize I could even sing until I was in my twenties. I found out I could sing while at a wedding in East Texas. The reception turned into a karaoke afterparty, and I was singing Patsy Cline when the DJ pointed out that he thought I had something. That was the first time I’d ever thought singing was something I should or even could pursue. I dove into music after that, starting vocal lessons, doing cover gigs, singing at church, and I had a job singing ads for country radio stations. That was my first time ever being in a studio and it was then when I realized making my own music is what I really wanted to do. I was fortunate enough to meet my Grammy winning producer, Michael Clute while sitting in the booth behind me at a burger joint. He was talking to an old friend about the work he’s done in country music over the years. It really was one of those moments where I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be. He listened to a video of me singing and the rest is history. We’ve been working together ever since!
How has this changed your life?
I feel like I’ve learned so much about myself along the way. I know now that nothing is too out of reach. I’m doing what I’ve wanted to do, and it’s only made me dream even bigger for the future!
Describe your sound in 3 words?
twang, powerful, authentic
Who influenced you and why did you choose to make music?
Growing up I gravitated towards powerful female artists of all different genres … Celine Dion, Shania Twain, The Chicks, Britney Spears, etc… I feel like they all have influenced me in some way, and I chose to make music because I feel that once you find your passions and gifts it would be a disservice to you and the world to not share them!
Do you play any instrument?
A little guitar, but not well. I’m still working at it.

Tell us about your new single “I Ain’t a Bitch?”
Get ready for “I Ain’t a Bitch” to be stuck in your head! It’s super catchy and super fun and I think a lot of people will relate to it!
What’s the story behind the song and the video?
My co-producer Bobby Huff wrote this song for me and I had actually set it aside to record later. A few months went by and I was in the process of deciding the order of my releases when someone asked my producer if I was nice and easy to work with, or if I was a bitch… When I heard that comment a light bulb went off… I knew I had to record “I Ain’t a Bitch” and I knew it had to be the first release. This song is right off the bat answering the question if anyone is wondering… no, I ain’t a bitch. [laughs] The lyrics can be shocking at first, but it’s all meant in good fun! I have loved this song since the moment I heard the demo and I’m so thrilled with the way it turned out! The visuals and the fashion aspect of the video really stem from the lyrics “I can be sweet and I can be fun, but I can be a bitch if you make me one” It was clear to me from the beginning that I wanted to show the contrast of the two personalities.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
Most rewarding is knowing that just by creating my art I will help or inspire someone.
What book should every entrepreneur read?
I’m not really a big reader, but I do enjoy listening to a good podcast. I’ve recently been listening to On Purpose with Jay Shetty.
What would you say are the greatest lessons you learned so far?
I have learned that if you stay consistent and work hard you really can do whatever you set your mind to.
What advice would you give to your younger self and why?
I’d tell my younger self to believe in herself… and every situation is a learning opportunity. I’d also tell her to not worry too much about what others think. People are usually too busy thinking about themselves anyway!
How would your best friend describe you?
I just asked my friend and she said-
“I’d say you’re a person who knows their worth. You’re patient and always kind. You see the best in people even when it’s hard. Hardworking and hilarious when you’re in a comfortable space to express yourself.”
If you are a book, what would be the title of the book and why?
Not all beauty and booty…this might inspire someone to open the page and get to know me.

What is your favorite healthy food?
I love a filet, and brussel sprouts! & I’m currently obsessed with chia pudding!
And your favorite cheat food?
The Hot Fudge Sundae from R+D Kitchen!
How would you explain your fashion style?
Classic, timeless, feminine with a little edge.
What is your own definition of happiness?
I think happiness is a choice. A choice to be grateful for the little things. To wake up every day with a purpose and to have peace knowing all things will fall into place as they should. Giving up control of the outside world and controlling the only thing you can… yourself.
Also, a quiet morning drinking coffee with my dogs. ????
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Elvis Presley! I have always loved him!
What would be the dream holiday, and who would you go with?
Shopping in Paris and Italy, then laying on the beach with a drink in my hand. With my close family.
Best advice ever given?
Know you’re good and know you’re loved.
Do you support any charity?
Yes, I have been given so much and think it’s so important to give back. Thank you to all those who give their time and money. Curegm1 is one very worthy organization I am privileged to support.
Where do you see yourself and your career in 5 years from now?
Big big things, god willing.
Favorite song? Why?
It really depends on my mood! Some days it’s The Prayer by Celine Dion & Andrea Bocelli, some days it’s Snap Snap by Tay Money! A song I’ve been listening to a lot lately and loving is The Neon by Hailey Whitters!
What do you think of Social Media?
I love social media and think it’s a great way to connect and share, but I think you definitely have to create boundaries because it can become toxic.
