Hi Anna, please tell us a little about you?
Hi! My name is Anna and I work as a model and beauty influencer. I find immense joy in creating various forms of aesthetically pleasing content. One of my biggest passions is celebrating and uplifting redheads. I strive to ensure that my profile serves as a welcoming, beneficial, and visually attractive space for all who visit.
Moreover, I have a strong interest in hair care. I enjoy experimenting with unique hairstyles, coordinating them with various outfits, and exploring diverse fashion trends.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Redhead, positive, and a little bit modest.
When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?
Oh, I had serious plans! I wanted to become an artist, enroll in an academy, and start doing it professionally. But in the end, I’m glad that fate turned out differently.
How did you get in the industry?
I started my blog just as a model account, posted various photo shoots, sometimes behind-the-scenes, something like that. Little by little, my Instagram grew and I thought, why not start making videos? I gave it a try, made a couple about hair, care, and style, and that’s when the account really took off in terms of subscriptions. At some point, the blog gathered more than a million followers! I still don’t always believe it.
What is the feeling of being a very popular beauty content creator & influencer?
Honestly, I don’t feel like that at all. By nature, I’m not a very public person, and I never aspired to gain popularity. But I’m very pleased that I found so many like-minded people and fans of my creativity! With them, I feel real support.
What did you learn from your biggest failure?
Oh, I’ve had many mistakes in my life, but I don’t perceive any of them as a failure. For example, I’ve always dreamed of becoming an artist since childhood. And when in the end I couldn’t enter the art academy, I could have taken it as my serious failure. But something in me then dismissed this thought, I took a more stoic attitude to what happened, and in the end, I’m even glad how everything worked out! I probably wouldn’t have started modeling and blogging if I studied at the academy. So any mistake is just part of the life path.
What do you think is the secret to having successful social media channels?
The main thing is engaging content. I don’t know how to describe it in precise terms, but the mandatory condition for success in social networks is to hold the attention of the viewer. This is the whole essence of social networks if you think about it.
As a popular beauty influencer you are followed by so many young girls. How do you feel about that pressure of doing always the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
Actually, I don’t feel pressure about it. I try to act correctly, but first and foremost, I just try to be myself. After all, I am an ordinary person, and I can be imperfect for my audience. Well, no one can be perfect, so I’m not unique here.
What is next for Anna Sitkina in 2023?
Oh, if only I knew. Right now I’ve spontaneously decided to go to another country for a couple of months, and what happens next – I don’t know.
What would be the dream holiday, and who would you go with?
Oh yes, my dream is to visit Japan with my friend. I really like the aesthetics there, such an incredible combination of antiquity and modernity, super inspiring! We would love to do this this autumn, but for now it’s just thoughts.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
I hope this doesn’t sound a little sad, but my father. I barely knew him and the last time we met I was six or seven. I would be very interested to get to know him better.
Which project is still on your bucket list?
First of all, it’s the renovation of my apartment. And secondly, it is. And even thirdly. It’s been hanging around for a long time, and I can’t seem to finish it, so that’s the top priority. Then you can think about something else.
Idea of a perfect Sunday?
I’m a boring homebody, so just staying home and watching a good movie is perfect.
What does fashion mean to you?
For me, fashion is primarily a source of inspiration. Of course, it has aspects of self-expression and belonging to something bigger, but I like the insight that fashion can give. Actually, it possesses all the same properties as any other art, so everyone can take something of their own.
How would you explain your fashion style?
Hard to say, it all depends on the mood. I can dress up as a princess dress, and a tracksuit, everything is very situational. So it’s hard to say what it’s called 😀
How important is Social Media for you?
Unfortunately, social networks are more important to me than I would like. But I’m trying to change that. After all, real life happens around us, not on the screen of a smartphone, and you should never forget that.
