Check out our interview with popular Spanish DJ and producer B JONES who just released her new hit song “I Fall In Love,” and will be playing at the Tomorrowland Main Stage, which will make her the first ever Spanish artist to play the main stage!
Originally slated to play this historic set in 2020 (which was postponed due to the pandemic) B JONES used this time to start an online music academy where she could motivate other young artists not to give up, teaching them her tricks, as well as doing 1:1 couching, online parties and a bootcamp with major names from the industry who shared their experiences with the budding young talent. She is also preparing to launch her own record label later in 2022.

Hi B Jones, please tell us about you?
Hello!! Well, about me I can tell you that I am a simple girl. I live in Ibiza although every weekend I am travelling the world with my music, which is my job, my dream, my hobby… Besides this I am a single mother, and I I love the simple life and to be with family and friends.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
humble, positive and adventurous
Name one your strengths?
I never give up!
How’s a typical day in your life?
If I’m not travelling, I wake up around 8:30 and I have a coffee while I write a list of things to do… then pilates or gym and come home, shower and start with my list – making music, organizing releases, promotion, social media content etc…
Who is your biggest supporter?
My daughter and my manager.
My daughter has never complained about all the time that I have invested in my career, always supporting me. My Manager believed in me 100% since the beginning and always supports me beyond what is professionally “a manager” ,she is my partner in crime
How did you get started in the industry?
The story is long, I was an 11-year-old girl when I discovered this profession due a deejay close to the family and I fell in love immediately, but at that time I lived in a small town and I never saw a female deejay so I never thought it could be something possible for me. When I was 18 years old I moved to Ibiza in the summer to work as a waitress and there, at Pacha Ibiza, I saw the first female deejay in my life. Her name was Sarah Main. I still remember my feeling and how my head kept telling me “I’m made for this” but I didn’t have time to start. I was married and a short time later I got pregnant and with many, many, many problems… I threw myself into being a single mother, I got divorced and I went with my little daughter to Madrid to try to give her the best possible future. I worked very hard and coincidentally I ended up being an event organizer, booking artists etc… when my daughter was 7 years old I decided that it was the time to follow my dream, I bought Dj equipment and I started practicing every night, sending Dj mixes to clubs and being my own manager… One year later I was a resident DJ of Pacha Ibiza together with Sarah Main!!! I came back to live in Ibiza, I started working with Vanessa, who is still
my manager, and here I am!! on the way to Tomorrowland where I will play a song specially made for my daughter because she turns 18 this summer!!!!!!
What are currently your main challenges as a DJ and Producer?
As a deejay this year I will be on the main stage of major festivals in Europe and my goal is to make a place for myself with my personal sound and connect with the masses. As a producer, I will launch my own label this month and my goal is to launch my music without depending on major record labels, simply to make music for my public and for them to like it.
Which artists and styles inspired and influenced you?
My influences change over the years, 10 years ago it was Tiesto, and although he is still one of them, now they are a mixture of small artists with great talent, also other bigger ones like Diplo, Vintage Culture, James Hype or Kryder
When all the partying is over how do you like to chill out?
I like to go to the hotel, I’m almost always lying down for a while thinking about the set and I end up asleep hahah
Now tell us about Tomorrowland and what is the feeling to be the first ever Spanish artist to play the main stage?
That’s amazing! It’s a big dream come true, I feel very grateful and proud to have this opportunity, I live every day thinking and working on new music for that moment
Best stage you have ever play?
There are many that have been incredible, Untold Festival was amazing, Ushuaïa or HÏ Ibiza are magic.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Happy , energetic & unique
Can you tell us any differences between other places in the world like Spain and Europe and the US music scene?
Not really because I feel dance music is one big global family that all unite with the same rhythm
Tell us about your new single “I Fall in Love”?
It is a song that expresses joy, the inspiration is love, fresh house sounds mixed with a pop vocal that makes it quite catchy
What’s the story behind the song?
My inspiration was my boyfriend who is also a producer, he made a song for me and I decided to write another one for him at a time when he was in low spirits, the message is that it doesn’t matter to see him smiling or down, dressed or in pajamas.. every time i look at you i fall in love
Favorite song?

Funniest/Crazy thing that ever happened at an event?
An event that just had just have 1 CDJ player HAHAH

What’s your favorite club to DJ in?
Hi Ibiza
What advice would you give to aspiring Producers or DJs?
Believe in themselves, work hard but don’t forget to also work on themselves as a person and take care of themselves.
As a popular DJ and Producer you are followed by so many people. How do you feel about that pressure of doing always the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
I try to live in balance, I am not perfect and I accept myself, I do not try to do the right thing, do what I feel is right for me. When I am short of breath, I stop and breathe and then continue with more force and above all I never forget who I am and where I come from.
Now talking about Instagram, can you share some tips for keeping your account interesting?
I always try to combine lifestyle, music and shows
I bet you get millions of it, but what are the best and worst Instagram DM pickup lines you received so far?
Many good people who support me, girls that my career encourages them to continue fighting for their dreams and not too many bad, some spam of nudes (girls and boys) hahahaha
What is next for B Jones in 2022?
The release of my label Come Closer Records and the big summer tour that I have.
Best and worst thing of your job?
The best and the worst is the same answer, it just depends on when they ask me. My work, dream, hobby is the same so if everything is fine in my career, life is incredible!!!! If not, then it’s really hard, because it affects my emotions, my money, my goals.
If you are a book, what would be the title of the book and why?
“Everything happens for a reason” because despite having had hard times and situations in life, having been a very young single mother and having worked hard in different jobs to survive… all of this was necessary to be able to answer this interview today about my career and my goals
What advice would you give to your younger self and why?
Stop, breathe whenever you need to. because now I know that running does not mean arriving at a good place.
How would your best friend describe you?
Strong but sweet and emotional at the same time, hardworking and fighter and also clueless and messy hahaha
Who would be your dream to work with?
Tiesto
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Nelson Mandela is a clear example of the inner strength that all human beings have and that if you really believe in something, no matter how hard the present is being (he was imprisoned for 27 years) if you continue to believe that it will be possible, it will happen. He believed in racial equality and became president of South Africa.
How important is Social Media for you?
To be honest, sometimes I hate social media because it takes so much time from me and right now I am very focused on music production, but I understand that this is a new Era and the way for the world to get to know you. You need to have presence on social media with your best content but it should be more organic and less fake
What is your own definition of happiness?
For me it is not being too high or too low, it is being calm aligned with yourself and the world around you
Your idea of a perfect Sunday is?
Landing in Ibiza after a great set the night before and going to my mother’s house with my daughter, my boyfriend, my brothers, my manager and eating a great paella together.

I don’t watch much TV, but sometimes I watch the news… nothing more
What is your favorite healthy food?
Salmon salad
And your favorite cheat food?
Churros with chocolate
What would be the dream holiday, and who would you go with?
I can’t wait to go back to Ko Tao, a small Thai island, humble life, moai thai in the morning, snorkel in the afternoon, walk in the mountains, sunsets on the beach … there are no luxuries but it is a luxury to be there! with my boyfriend and my daughter
How do you see yourself in 5 years?
Working the same as now, with the same people around me, my manager, my family and with my label working well, making more and better music.
Do you support any charities?
I donate in some campaigns like now in the Ukraine, but in my day to day I try to help people who are close to me and who also need it.
