Hi Brandy, please tell us a little about you?
Hello, I’m an artist originally from Chino Hills, California but I now live in LA. I write, record, and mix most of my songs as well as co-direct all my music videos.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Outgoing, Hardworking, and Unique
Do you play any instrument?
No not yet. I can play the piano a little, but I never practice. I would love to learn how to play the guitar.
Do you ever get nervous?
I don’t think I get nervous often but I do get anxious. It’s more a feeling of I’m ready to do this, I’m ready to be great, I’m ready to fulfill my destiny.
Tell us about your new EP “That’s Unfortunate?”
This EP was written about my love life and how sometimes we get in relationships with people that aren’t good for us. That’s unfortunate is really also a phrase I use quite often when something bad happens.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
Seeing people enjoy the art I made is the most rewarding part.
How would your best friend describe you?
Most likely my best friend would describe me as a hard working and loyal person. My best friend and I have been friends since we were 2 years old.
What’s next for Brandy Haze in 2021?
I definitely want to tour. I hope that tours continue next year so I can travel the world and reach my fans.
And your favorite cheat food?
Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, almost any flavor!
What is your own definition of happiness?
What would bring me the most joy is to have my music heard around the world. I would love to travel the world and sing with people. That would bring me happiness.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Frank Ocean is my all time favorite artist. His lyrics are so descriptive and clever. Definitely someone I would love to meet.
Best advice ever given?
Learn how to record yourself. That was definitely the best advice.
Where do you see yourself and your career in 5 years from now?
I see myself performing at award shows and touring around the world.
Favorite song? Why?
I’m going to say my favorite record is a song I wrote called Negative Intentions. I love that song because it’s written more like a story and not a just a song. I would hope it touches people that listen to it.
What do you think of Social Media?
I love social media, I think it helps build communities and has become a place to see the world and what’s out there without leaving your house.
