Check out our interview with international recording artist and music executive Capo Corleone who is the CEO of the highly successful C2 Management and founder and former CEO of Tree4ort Records and he is releasing his new single with Kuba Więcek called “Thank Myself.”
The latest single from Corleone and Więcek is “Thank Myself,” which was the first song written together at the height of the pandemic. Setting a precedent and central theme of self-gratitude for one’s own accomplishment throughout the remainder of the album’s tracklist, “Thank Myself” essentially sets the stage for a project about self will, determination and love for yourself.
“Thank Myself” is about understanding that only you can make yourself successful. It’s about believing in one’s abilities and strengths to thrive beyond your wildest dreams, without anyone but yourself to thank.

Describe yourself in 3 words?:
Ambitious, determined, and charismatic.
We’re sure you have been asked this a million times but how did you get into the industry?
I have made music since I was a kid but my first big break into the music industry in a money-making capacity was on the music executive side when I started a music studio and publishing company in Hollywood. I worked with some of the industry’s biggest names and found myself with a publishing catalog lucrative enough to quit my job and do music full-time. This gave me alot of space to push my own music and additionally start C2 Management.
Describe your sound in 3 words.
Dynamic, lyrical, and cinematic.
Who influenced you and why did you choose to make music?
There isn’t one individual person that influenced me but rather my environment and the things I’ve seen and experienced. My influences come in bits and pieces from different people along the way. Musically, the same is true. Different musicians influence me by how they may have written a song or how their cadence was in a particular flow. My style comes from an accumulation of all these things that I find admirable.
I don’t think I chose to make music as much as it chose me. In the toughest times of my life, I always found myself with pen and paper, writing my emotions which in turn became my music. It was and has always been a form of therapy.
Do you ever get nervous?
Yes, but not often.
Tell us about your new single “Thank Myself?”
“Thank Myself” is a collaboration between myself and Polish jazz musician and producer Kuba Więcek. In this song, I focus on a central theme of self-gratitude for my accomplishments, self-will, determination, and love for myself.
What’s the story behind the song?
While writing this song, I was in a grateful mood. I reflected on life and how thankful I was for the scars and experiences. While normally one would take a moment to thank others for opportunities, I felt compelled to thank myself first for persevering through it all. Most of us will take the time to blame ourselves when something goes wrong but won’t take the time to thank ourselves when we triumph. I want to encourage others to think this way by listening to this song through my lens.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
I wasn’t given success on a silver platter and have had to work for everything I have. The reward for me is setting the example that doing what you love and being successful don’t have to be different things.
Now tell us about C2 Management?
C2 Management is a music marketing company I founded and operate with my wife. We focus on helping independent musicians compete and navigate today’s music industry through our marketing solutions and guidance. We have an extensive team both in the US and Europe and have helped market over 10,000 releases.
What book should every entrepreneur read?
How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.
What would say are the greatest lessons you learned so far?
The greatest lesson I have ever learned is that no one wants to see you more successful than yourself. Follow your gut and be thankful to yourself every day.
What advice would you give to your younger self and why?
Don’t be afraid to fail. You will be more successful than you think.
What’s next for Capo Corleone and Kuba Więcek in 2023?
We’re releasing our EP “Thank Myself” which is the namesake for our most recent single “Thank Myself” on February 23, 2023. We also have loads of new music to be released this year as well.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Blackened Halibut.
And your favorite cheat food?
Italian food.
How would you explain your fashion style?
Comfort before fashion….but throw some gold on it.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Waking up every day healthy and surrounded by those I love, while doing the things I love.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
I’d love to meet Jay-Z. He’s a guy that inspires me to continually push boundaries into new industries that exceed hip-hop music. When the viral tweet came out asking “Would you rather have dinner with Jay-Z or 500k….I’m one of those people that would take the dinner.
Where do you see yourself and your career 5 years from now?
I see myself with a Grammy and 5 more multi-million dollar companies.
What do you think of Social Media?
I think Social Media is a fantastic outlet for gaining visibility on whatever you’re doing. It’s a great place to connect with people of like minds in whatever community you belong to.
