Check out our interview with Melbourne pop singer-songwriter Liss who just released her first single “Heartbreaker.”
Liss wanted to write an upbeat song about Heartbreak that many people could relate to. Heartbreaker opens with the line ‘one summer and some chemistry was all it took’ detailing the ease in which the relationship took place. She moves onto singing ‘Too good to be true, learned your lines like a pro. Though you’re no Leonardo in my mind,’ signifying that their relationship was all an act.

Hi Liss, please tell us a little about you?
I’m a 26 year old singer-songwriter from Melbourne.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Bubbly, kind and creative.
How did you get started in the business?
I was always writing music and at 19 I decided to go to university and study music and that is where I honed my skills.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Upbeat, Fun and Euphoric.
Who influenced you and why did you choose to make music?
I love many artists but I would say Justin Bieber is a big influence of mine. I chose to make music as I saw no other avenue that would make me as happy.
Tell us about your new single “Heartbreaker?”
Heartbreaker is an upbeat pop song about getting your heart broken. I wrote this song as I was sick of men saying one thing and then doing the complete opposite.
What would say are the greatest lessons you learned so far?
I think what I have learnt recently is that I’d rather give things a try than be scared of failure.
What’s next for Liss in 2022?
Heartbreaker’s music video comes out in a week and I have another song coming out very soon. Watch this space!
What would be the dream holiday, and who would you go with?
My dream holiday would be going to the USA to pursue music. I would definitely go with my parents, as they are the best people I know!
Where do you see yourself and your career in 5 years from now?
I hope to be still making music, performing, writing and enjoying the journey.
