Hi Jojo, please tell us a little about you?
Well…I’m known as the coach by my close friends. Because I know how to talk to people and I know how to listen to people and people love being listened too. And women love me. It’s facts lmao. I’m loyal, respectful and your Mum loves cooking me dinner. Trust me on this one.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Charming, underrated and funny. I could go on but I won’t ha ha.
How did you get started into acting?
I kind of fell into it because people told me I should do and I just thought I would try it and I ended up loving it.
How has this changed your life?
It’s enabled me to appreciate different viewpoints in life because I get to immerse myself in other characters.
What is the best and worst part of being an actor?
The constant rejection for roles is the worst part but you get used to it and the best part is meeting new people.
Tell us about your work on HBO’s “EUPHORIA?”
It was phenomenal. It was a great experience and confirmed that it was what I wanted to do as part of my life.
How do you prepare for a role?
I study the script like a mad man! I then look up other projects the Director has done and finally I research the character as much as possible on the net.
What other projects you have been part of?
Mostly commercials which was a great way to get my feet wet in the industry.
What kind of roles do you like or would like to play and why?
I like playing the idiotic friend! I have fun with that and it’s kind of close to who I am in real life!
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
I love having different things to do each day. I could never work in an office. Some days I’m creating music, some days I’m creating content and other days I’m acting – life is good.
Now tell us about your music side. Tell us about the success of your hit single “A.D.D?”
I wrote the song one night in my garage and it was great to see so many people love it!
What’s the story behind the song?
The story behind the song was the lack of impulse control that I experienced growing up. I wanted to put a different perspective on A.D.D. and a different approach on the concept.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Melodic, Informing and Unique.
Who influenced you and why did you choose to make music?
I was influenced by timeline 333, Juice World and Drake.
I started music as a form of therapy and as an outlet for everything I was feeling.
Do you play any instrument?
Nope! I do my own production though and I dance around the guitar a little.
Do you ever get nervous?
No.
Did you have plans/concerts planned and cancelled because of COVID? If so have you done any online concerts or interaction with your fans?
I didn’t, but like everyone else I had a lot of plans for things in my life that needed adjusting. I go live online all the time so that I can interact with my fans and sometimes I use the lives to make songs with them. They really the reason I do what I do.
You are followed by so many people. How do you feel about that pressure of doing always the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
I am someone that handles pressure well but I encourage people to always be true to themselves. Having a platform is a blessing and encouraging people to follow their dreams is something that is not only my responsibility but something that I really enjoy.
How would your best friend describe you?
Crazy. Good in bed and a dog that can’t be tamed. What can I say – they’re not wrong.
What’s next for Jojo Tua in 2021?
New music is coming out left and right. Be ready!

Ghandi. Because he had a great perception of life.

Don’t dwell on the past and strive for a better future.
Do you support any charity?
I do. I always find ways to give back to the community when I can.
Where do you see yourself and your career in 5 years from now?
A superstar. Word for word. Bet on it.
Favorite song? Why?
