Please tell us a little about you?
I am an American model and influencer with over a half million followers on social media. I am from a small town in the state of Maryland but moved to Los Angeles almost two years ago to pursue my modeling and professional dreams.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Free-spirit, ambitious, passionate
Name one of your strengths?
I am very ambitious, I will do what is necessary to achieve my goals and have the self-discipline to reach those goals.
Who is your biggest supporter?
I have had the support of friends along the way. After picking up my life and moving across the country, I have spent a lot of time being on my own and developed a strong belief in my own potential and that is what has kept me so motivated to pursue my career goals.
Best advice ever given?
The best advice I have ever received was probably to believe in myself and to recognize that I have an opportunity to leverage my social media presence to launch other business opportunities. Also, in the long run, it’s important to remember where you started from and stay grounded in who I am.
Who has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
I have been lucky to have met some great mentors in my life so far. The friends who urged me to move to LA without a job or place to live. And everyone who saw the potential in me along the way. I hope that I continue to meet more people who can advise me as I diversify my career.
When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a veterinarian, a movie star and a model. In fact, I would dress myself with hand-picked items from my dress-up closet and my mom would let me leave the house in feather scarves, sunglasses and heels as a toddler so my her friends gave me the nickname of ”Miss Hollywood”. I guess they knew before me that I was heading for a career in LA!
What has been the greatest pinch-me moment in your career?
Getting to travel to beautiful places like Bali, Thailand and others and be photographed is some of the most spectacular locations. I’m so grateful everyday for the beautiful life I have the good fortune to live.
What did you learn from your biggest failure?
I’ve read so many books and listened to a lot of podcasts about that stories of successful people about how they failed so many times before reaching a level of success and I’m not sure that I have experienced my biggest failure yet but I do know that if it happens, I have the self-confidence to know that it’s just another step closer to my ultimate goal.
What current projects do you have that you are currently working on?
I have an exciting project that I’m working on right now, actually.. but I am keeping it low-key right now. Don’t worry, if you keep up with me you will find out soon enough!!!
What’s your favorite quote?
Definitely a quote from James Cameron: “If you set your goals ridiculously high and it’s a failure, you will fail above everyone else’s success.”
To what do you attribute your current success?
Hard work, self-confidence and persistence. Maintaining an attitude that you can achieve your goals in life if you work hard for it and don’t give up.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Is sushi healthy?! Haha
And your favorites cheat food?
Right now, I would love a chocolate milkshake and French fries, so let’s say that!
What do you think of Social Media?
I think that social media is a wonderful thing if used to promote positive things. We are living in one of the best moments of history where an individual like me can launch a career on her own and can take full advantage of the amazing platforms we’re given access to. The fact that we can use a platform to organically reach a “million people” and then use that to offer what we have to the world AND be able to make money off of that is so insane to me.
