Hi Dasha, please tell us a little about you?
I was born in Ukraine and grew up in California.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Passionate. Enigmatic. And I get told I’m “magnetic” by a lot of people, too.
Name one of your strengths?
Disciplined.
Who is your role model?
When I was younger, I always looked up to Princess Diana. I loved her fashion style.
How and when did you start modeling?
I was constantly getting scouted as a child, but didn’t really start pursuing it until I recently moved to Los Angeles.
Can you name a few of the brands you are working or have worked with?
Monster Energy for their Supercross and Nascar events, and concerts. I’ve also worked with Bellator MMA, Hairdreams, and various clothing and swimwear brands.
What did you learn from your biggest failure?
Regardless of how it goes down, life goes on.
The most important thing when you are shooting is?
Self-confidence and some good music to set the mood.
What’s your advice for the newer models and influencers?
Don’t compare yourself to others. You have your own magic.
What mindsets helped make you so successful and popular?
Stay true to yourself. Know your worth. Be calm and patient.
When you started your Social Media accounts, did you expect such a success?
Not really. I just posted my authentic day-to-day activities and I guess people took an interest.
As a popular model you are followed by so many people. How do you feel about that pressure of always doing the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
As cliche as it sounds, I think you just need to be yourself. Whatever that may be, you can inspire others. I like to stay positive and spread that light.
I bet you get millions, but what are the best and worst Instagram DM pickup lines you received so far?
“Your wedding will be amazing. The ‘Y’ is silent.” You can judge if that’s the best or worst.
What advice would you give to your younger self and why?
To follow your soul. If you don’t try to do what you love you will spend your life thinking about the “what-if’s.”
How would you explain your fashion style and what items in your closet can you not be without?
I’m pretty laid back when it comes to fashion. I keep it classy and comfy. A good pair of jeans is a huge staple. And I definitely have a shoe addiction.
What is the most challenging thing you deal with about consistently staying in top shape?
Working out when I don’t feel motivated. I have learned to just not make it an option.
Please describe a typical day for you. What is your daily routine like?
Wake up, shower, and do my skincare routine. I have a matcha latte with some almond milk. And then I like to get my workout started shortly after that. I switch up my workout routines but find that I never seem to get sick of Pilates. Then off to work for a shoot.
Favorite form of cardio?
Boxing.
How would your best friend describe you?
I asked and I received the following answers: captivating, enigmatic, magnetic, trustworthy, and hilarious. But overall — to quote Winston Churchill — “a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.”
What’s next for Dasha Alexandria in 2022?
A lot of big things.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Ceviche or some papaya drizzled with passion fruit — a local from Hawaii taught me this amazing combo.
And your favorite cheat food?
Buffalo Cauliflower from Erewhon, or a good gluten-free pizza — love the one from Cecconi’s.
What is your own definition of happiness?
When your heart beats in sync with your mind.
What is your idea of a perfect Sunday?
Laying out by the beach with my dog and my favorite people.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Elvis Presley, because he is the king of rock n roll.
Best advice ever given?
Change nothing and nothing changes.
Name 3 things you can’t live without?
Matcha/green tea, lip balm, and music.
Favorite song? Why?
There’s no way I can pick just one!
What music do you like?
I love everything from rock to Gregorian chant. Although I’m not a fan of R&B.
