His new film Materna won some awards this spring in the Tribeca film festival.

How did you get started into acting?
I started at the age of 6. My first audition , I I booked a guest s role on Law & Order SVU. I loved being on set!!
How has this changed your life?
I got to experience all kinds of different things. I learned so much and made so many friends. The experiences I had are priceless and made me appreciate everything and everyone!!!
What is the best and worst part of being an actor?
The best part of acting is getting to do what I love and meeting amazing people!
The worst part of being an actor is sometimes missing my family and friends when I man working.
Tell us about your work on feature film “Team Marco”
It was an awesome time being on set with kids my age!! We all became great friends. The director and crew were amazing!
And about your role as David?
He was kind and a good friend.
Now tell us about the success of your new film “Materna?”
Materna is about complex storyline with deep emotions. I got to do some of my scenes with Rory Culkin and he is so talented!!!
How do you prepare for a role?
I did some research on the topic.
What other projects you have been part of?
I am currently filming a movie. I play Nate which is one of the lead roles. The movie is called “Skelly.”
What kind of roles do you like or would like to play and why?
I love to play different kinds of roles and challenge myself.
Do you ever get nervous?
Yes! I alway want to do my best!
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
The process. I like to see how my character evolves through the story.

Who influenced you and why did you choose to make music?
Brendon Urie and Billy Porter! Working and watching them on the Broadway stage really inspired me to create my own music.
Do you play any instrument?
I play piano, drums, and guitar.
Do you ever get nervous?
Yes, live performances are live performances!!!!

It has an 80’s feel. It fun and catchy vibe!
What’s the story behind this single?
When you love someone unconditionally!
How would your best friend describe you?
Fun, kind, and adventurous.
What’s next for Jake Katzman in 2021?
Acting in new projects and creating more music!
What is your favorite healthy food?
Grilled chicken and beans.

Chocolate chip cookies
How would you explain your fashion style?
Casual fun.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Being with my family and friend!
