Hi Adil, please tell us a little about you?
Hey! I’m a 24 year-old Canadian Singer born in Montréal, Quebec but I was raised in Toronto, ON. I play multiple instruments since I was a young kid but I’ve always been called to be a vocalist so I went into singing at the age of 14. Granted, I was not very good at all. It took me years of getting boo’d off stage and not being able to find my voice until I finally was able to land on something that resonated with me. When I was 18 my voice finally started grabbing onto something. Vocal styles from Justin Bieber and Kellin Quinn started becoming a style that my voice resonated with and sound good with me. Now I’ve finally been able to find the vocal techniques and styles that I love and are for my voice.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Persistent, giving, and silly as heck.
How did you get started in the business?
I started playing music since I was 8 by stumbling upon a music store that was next to my parent’s clothing brand shop. I picked up a guitar and started strumming it in the store and I just loved how I was able to create sound with it. Of course, it didn’t sound good when I first did it because I had no idea what I was doing but I just thought it could be something bigger. Then I dove completely into it with percussion, piano, etc. I also love the behind the scenes. Meaning, how something was created and why it was successful. I think my passion with the business of music is due to my parents owning their own clothing brand and having a business background from my family.
How has this changed your life?
Literally this is what I do now. It’s crazy but I was so for it that I put myself so deep in that I can’t pull out. And I’m very happy with that decision. My life revolves around music and entertainment business every day now. I’m very thankful.
We’re sure you have been asked this million times but how did you get in the industry?
I dropped my first song ‘Good Enough’ in 2018 after being in a rock band for so long. I wanted to see what would happen, and my socials and streaming numbers just took off. I immediately knew I was onto something. I was quickly recognized by high music executives and had been given great advices from these mentors.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Cinematic, Emotional, Feelsy
Who influenced you and why did you choose to make music?
I chose to make music because of some rock bands such as Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Avenged Sevenfold. But as I grew older, I really heard such beautiful clarity in pop music that I wanted to hear what it would sound like with my voice. I heard ‘Let Me Love You’ by DJ Snake and Justin Bieber and from that moment I fell in love with pop music. So I started to write pop right from that moment. It was hard. But man it was incredible to hear every detail of the song without and cloudiness. The thing is I love rock music, but the loudness, and distortion hides a lot of beauty that could be audible in a song but isn’t. But with pop music, it’s different. Each element of a song can be spotted and it’s beautiful.
Do you play any instrument?
Guitar. Drums. A little bit of piano.
Do you ever get nervous?
All the time. But then I remind myself that, you’ll probably laugh about it afterwards.
Tell us about your new single “I Promise?”
‘I Promise’ was written about 3 years ago as a demo and I shelved it. I met Trinity Rose 2 years back in Malibu and I really loved her voice. I had an idea. I sent her my demo and asked her to mess with it and try recording some vocals on it. She sent me some recorded vocals back and I was shocked. I heard the song in a different aspect and re-opened the project in the studio and got to work. A month later the song was redone, re-polished, remixed, and remastered. I love audio production but I did have the help of WirleyBird Studios, and The Gudwin Community to completely finish it up.
Tell us about your experience working with Trinity?
She’s a super cool person. She really is a good friend before a music collaborator. We love messing around throwing jokes, silly Canadian references, talking about baking, about me needing to be more patient and not opening the oven to check on cookies earlier than needed because it ruins the cookies. We also love spirituality, crystals, tarot readings, and life talks. She’s awesome, I love hanging with her. Making music with her is the cherry on top. She’s very talented and creative. We might mess around with more type of songs and covers in the future. I just really vibe the way she is as a person and her creative style.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
When I get to see that it made a difference in someone else’s life.
What book should every entrepreneur read?
You Were Born Rich by Bob Proctor. I always loved talking to him. He was one of the most impactful mentors in my life. Rest in Paradise Bob.
What would you say are the greatest lessons you’ve learnt so far?
In life, with every attempt you make; there’s a little bit of magic. I can’t explain it, but I’ve worked extremely hard to build what I have built. And I’ve failed more times than count off the top of my head. But with every failure, God always sprinkled some magic in my life and suddenly I was further than I was before. Trust the process.
How would your best friend describe you?
As a genius, stupid & silly, fruit-bat.
If you are a book, what would be the title of the book and why?
How To Internally Explode with Happiness and Stupid Sounds. No reason. Wink.
What advice would you give to your younger self and why?
Try it all, surround yourself with people who believe in you, learn, and be stoked about failure.
What’s next for Adil C in 2022?
A lot. I’m going to try so many different types of content creating, Tik toks, YouTube videos, more music, filming with Ray Sicard (my cameraman and best friend), merch release, and maybe even shows.

Black & white, monochrome, with a splash of accent colours in the pastel palettes or high contrasting colours. I like tight clothes, and sometimes really baggy clothes. My fashion style is my mood.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Finding gratitude with what you already have.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Bob Proctor, he passed away but he was one of my greatest mentors. Never got to meet him but we communicated a lot. That’s the power of the online world. My grandfather, he passed away as well, I never got to meet him.
Best advice ever given?
Have you tried turning it on and off? – Zaeny
Do you support any charity?
Oh heck yes. Pencils of Promise, letsfcancer (F*CK CANCER), Because I Am A Girl program by Children’s Fund of Canada, and several more.
Where do you see yourself and your career in 5 years from now?
Honestly, just way further than I am now. I’m trusting God with the process and showing up to every possible opportunity that I come across.
Favorite song? Why?
My favourite song changes every month or two. This question is definitely the hardest question I’ve ever been asked because I just love so many types of songs. Ahhh, the struggle.
What do you think of Social Media?
It’s scary, it sets standards which can destroy you mentally & physically, but it’s also very helpful, fun, and needed in some aspects of life. Some of the greatest people I’ve ever met and connected with is because of social media. I see it as a knife, it can do harm, or it can do benefits. Depends on the way you use it and the meaning you give to it in your life. Everything in life is a tool, how are you using it and how are you protecting yourself from it?
