Describe yourself in 3 words?
Ambitious, Sensitive & Positive
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Melodic, Powerful, Deep
Do you ever get nervous?
Always a little bit since I am very exigent with myself, and I want every show to be the best possible, there is always someone who is seeing you to perform for the 1st time.
Which artists inspired and influenced you?
A lot of them, but mainly Solomun, Rampa &Me, Adam Port and Black Coffee.
When all the partying is over how do you like to chill out?
I like to disconnect from the party scene doing exercise and playing sports. Besides that, being home with my wife gives me the peace of mind I need to recover and get my strength back.
Best stage you have ever play?
Zamna Festival in Tulum.
Funniest/Crazy thing that ever happened at an event?
It was funny but in that moment I got little stressed out and upset too. A good friend of mine came to see me perform in a pretty big event, he approached me while I was playing very excited and unfortunately he dropped his whole beer into one of the CDJ’s so it got damaged, the music stopped and they had to change it. Now when I remember it, I laugh a lot, but that moment was very unfortunate.
What’s your favorite club to DJ in?
Amnesia, Ibiza.
Did you had plans/gigs planned and cancelled because of COVID? If so have you done any online events or interaction with your fans?
Yes, a lot of them have been cancelled because of COVID. I did some live streamings in the meantime.

What is fun and rewarding about what you do? And what’s not?
The most fun and rewarding moment is when you see the people in front of you smiling, dancing and having a good time, that makes me happy.
What’s not too fun is the lack of sleep and waiting times in the airports.
What’s your advice for the newer DJ’s?
Play in front of people as much as you can and listen as much music as you can. To master something, you need to practice and it is very different to play by yourself than doing it to a crowd, so don’t be shy, don’t wait to feel you are 100% on control of the situation, sometimes is better to out yourself under some pressure and just do it, then you learn a lot from there.
Also, your music selection is the most important part of your set, so you need to be constantly listening/producing new music to be able to surprise and delight your audience.
What’s next for ARODES in 2021?
I have a lot of music produced that will be released this year. And of course many gigs coming in Europe and America mainly.
What book should every entrepreneur read?
Awaken The Giant Within from Anthony Robbins.
Best advice ever given?
If you put all your focus and energy into your goal, you can achieve it.
Name one of your strengths?
I dream big and I don’t give up.
Idea of a perfect Sunday?
Watching a Barcelona game with my family and loved ones while we enjoy a good dinner together.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Freedom.
What is your favorite healthy food?
There is this special brown rice soup with veggies and chicken my wife always prepare for me, I think that’s my favorite.
And your favorite cheat food?
Pizza and Cheesecake.
What would be a deal breaker on a first date?
Arrogant attitude.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Messi and Michael Jordan.
How do you see yourself in 5 years?
Having a residency in one of the best clubs in Ibiza and playing as a headliner in the most important festivals in the world. Also producing a lot of music inspiring and helping to all the new artists out there.
What do you think of Social Media?
It’s the nowadays way of communication, both business and personal. So despite you like it or not, you need to adapt and somehow learn how to use it and get the benefit from it.
Where we can follow you?
What I use and communicate the most is on Instagram, there is where I try to update more info about upcoming gigs, releases and posting videos and photos of past events.
My username is @arodes_ofc. For my music, follow me on Soundcould, there I have several live sets recorded, podcasts and own tracks produced.
