Hi Bayardo, please tell us a little about you?
Hi, my name is Bayardo De Murguia. I’m a Mexican American actor and voice over artist who believes in hard work, patience, and always keeping a sense of humor.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Calm, Passionate, Optimistic
How did you get started into acting?
As a football player at the University of San Diego, I took a theatre class and was immediately hooked. I traded the football field for the stage and haven’t looked back.
How has this changed your life?
It’s definitely a hustle, but something that I enjoy and get so much happiness from doing. The little wins we get during our journey are so fulfilling, especially when we get to share our work.
What is the best and worst part of being an actor?
Best part, being able to go through the journey and collaboration process in telling stories
Worst, the ups and downs can take a toll emotionally. That’s why you always need something to ground you and keep you planted
Tell us about your work in the brand new Netflix series “Tiny Pretty Things?”
“Tiny Pretty Things” is a Netflix original drama that premieres December 14th. It is “Black Swan,” meets “Pretty Little Liars” with a dash of “Gossip Girl.” I play Ramon Costa on the show
And about your character Ramon?
Ramon is an ex bad boy dancer turned visionary choreographer. He is fiery, passionate, and uses whatever method he can to bring out the best in you. Or is it worst? Hmmm.
How do you prepare for a role?
Observation, research, imagination. I love diving in headfirst into the world that is written; taking elements that are in me personally and then combining them with what I learn.
What other projects have you been a part of?
I have been known to try and assassinate your hero usually in crime procedurals such as USA’s Shooter, CSI, NCIS, and Chance.
What kind of roles do you like or would like to play and why?
Although I love action filled dramas, playing Ramon in “Tiny Pretty Things” threw me into the world of ballet which created a new adventure in my career. I’m game for more.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
Watching our work come alive at the end result of the collaboration process.
How would your best friend describe you?
Hard working, loyal, a kid at heart
What’s next for Bayardo De Murguia in the last months of 2020?
Spending time with family, eating a lot of tamales over the holidays, and sharing “Tiny Pretty Things” on Netflix December 14th. Hopefully it will lead to us continuing the world that we created with TPT.
