Please tell us a little about you?
I’m a very ambitious and driven individual. I really enjoy what I do and I take great pride in it. I’m very passionate about my music and I truly give it my all in every project. I consider myself a hard working individual who is always working extremely hard to improve my craft. I just love being in the studio, always trying something new, being as creative as possible and just having fun with it.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Humble, ambitious, & loyal.
We are sure you have been asked this million times but how did you get in the industry?
Basically while I was in college I was trying to figure out what was my life purpose and what I really wanted to do for the rest of my life. I quickly realized making music was the only thing I was passionate about so I decided to drop out of college and go on to attend a music school to pursue my music career.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Melodic, authentic, & unique.
Do you ever get nervous?
Not anymore.
Which artists and styles inspired and influenced you?
Artists such as DJ Snake, David Guetta, and Calvin Harris are the ones that really inspired me the most because of their ability to be so versatile.
When all the partying is over how do you like to chill out?
I like to eat some food with my friends and family.
Best stage you have ever played?
Playing an opening set in “Webster Hall.”
Funniest/Crazy thing that ever happened at an event?
Funniest thing that ever happened was when I was playing at an event and the sound completely shut down, the venue had issues with the sound system. So to avoid awkward silence I immediately grabbed the Mic and started talking with the crowd while the guys in the back were trying to get the sound back on, it was definitely a pretty fun and crazy moment.

Tell us about your new track “Paradise?”
“Paradise” is a collaboration between “Robbie Rosen” and myself. It’s a very melodic and chill song and it’s the perfect song to listen to when you’re trying to have fun.
What’s the story behind the track?
The story behind “Paradise” is that I wanted to create a song where people can just listen to it and feel happy at any moment. It’s sending a message to live your life to the fullest with the people you care about the most.
What is fun and rewarding about what you do? And what’s not?
The fun and rewarding thing about what I do is you get to share your music with other people and hearing their reaction is the best feeling in the world. What’s not so fun is it can get time consuming so sometimes you don’t get to spend too much time with your friends and family.
What’s your advice for the newer DJ’s?
My advice would be it’s a really long journey so always stay consistent and never quit. Work extremely hard at your craft and try to learn something new everyday.

What’s next for MICHAEL SALAS and Day 0ne in the last months of 2022 and for 2023?
Release some new music with some different vocalists.
What advice would you give to aspiring Producers?
Try to be unique as possible and always remain true to yourself.
As a popular DJ and Producer you are followed by so many people. How do you feel about that pressure of always doing the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
At the end of the day I have a responsibility for the people that depend and look up to me. So I always try my best to do the right thing not just for them but for myself. It’s important to be a good example and lead people the right way.
What advice would you give to your younger self and why?
I would say use your time wisely and efficiently. Time goes by so quickly so it’s really important to use every minute of it.
What book should every entrepreneur read?
“Rich Dad Poor Dad”
If you are a book, what would be the title of the book and why?
“One Life” because I would want everyone to know you only get one opportunity to be here so you must make it count.
How would your best friend describe you?
My best friend would describe me as someone who is very loyal and is always giving advice to others.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
It would be my favorite artist Martin Garrix. He’s the reason I got into music so it would definitely be nice meeting him.
Best advice ever given?
“To be in the 1% you must do 1% things”

Idea of a perfect Sunday?
Going out to a nice restaurant with friends and family.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Having the freedom to do whatever you want to do and sharing amazing experiences with the people you love the most.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Grass fed steak.

Pizza

How do you see yourself in 5 years?
Continuing doing what I love to do and supporting the people around me.

Modern, chill , and elegant.
