How did you get started in the business?
I grew up just outside NYC and when I was 7, I began my childhood career in musical theater, as I thought show tunes was the only outlet for singing. However, I discovered Taylor Swift in 8th grade and realized I could write my own songs and sing contemporary music. I then started guitar lessons and songwriting.
Did you go to music school?
I graduated with a degree in Music Production & Recording Arts from Elon University.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Sassy, confident, bold.
Do you ever get nervous?
Every time I perform! As Zac Efron once said, “If you’re not nervous, you don’t care enough about it.”
What is your next goal as a musician?
I’m releasing my debut EP this fall and then, hoping to go on tour for the first time!
Do you have a tour coming up or where we can see you performing?
Currently, all my shows are based in Nashville. My EP release show will be in September.
Now tell us about your single “Bored?”
Simply put, “Bored” is a tongue-in-cheek bop about a hot dude who’s just plain booooring. Reminiscent of Taylor Swift’s “Reputation” album, the song is fierce, blunt, and dominating. This single is the follow-up to my recent release, “Lemonade,” and the second lined up for my 2019 EP, set for late this year.[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6th5Ne2Gw5I” title=”Brooke Alexx – Bored”][vc_column_text]What is the feeling to have more than 100k streams on Spotify in less than 2 months?
It’s really affirming to know that other people enjoy the music I’m creating. I’m super thankful to have such supportive listeners.

What is you favorite song to belt out in the car/for karaoke?
Probably “If It Makes You Happy” by Sheryl Crow. My family used to sing that in the car when I was little and now, it just takes me back to that place.
Name one your strengths?
My work ethic – I’m an independent artist with no team. Everything I release has my hands all over it.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Being confident in who you are and what you’re doing. Being surrounded and supported by the ones you love.
Any loves other than music?
I love photography and videography and utilize those passions for my own content.

Sleep in late, brunch, hanging with friends in the sun.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Ha. I don’t eat healthy…
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
Taylor Swift 100 percent. She actually recently made an appearance here in Nashville and I missed it – I was so unbelievable upset.
How do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully supporting myself with music full-time!
How would you describe your fashion style?
My casual style is all jean all the time. On stage, I love metallics, form-fitting, high-waisted pants, and crop tops.
What do you think of Social Media?
I’m big into aesthetics, so honestly I’m a fan of it. I love creating content around a brand. It’s like a giant project for me!
