Hi Jake, please tell us a little about you?
My name is Jake Silva and I’m a DJ and producer from Long Island, New York. I come from a Portuguese background and I’m a triplet. I am fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Fun, Lively, Happy
We’re sure you have been asked this million times but how did you get in the industry?
My Uncle Carlos inspired me to get involved in the industry. He was a big time DJ in Portugal and taught me everything I know.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Energetic, Uplifting, European
Do you ever get nervous?
Yes before big shows! I get nervous, but as soon as I start playing it stops
Tell us about your new single “Dance?”
Dance brings the life of the party into action. It’s an uplifting track that makes everyone want to love each other and feel the vibe.
How was working on “Dance” with rising Italian talent Ferrigno and Belgium-based DJ and producer AMARI?
It was great working with Ferrigno and Amari, they’re very creative individuals and I would love to work with them both again!
Which artists and styles inspired and influenced you?
John Summit and Don Diablo have influenced my music a lot. I take inspiration from them when I am producing my own sound. I hope to be able to release on their labels in the future.
When all the partying is over how do you like to chill out?
I like to watch TV or play video games to chill out!
Funniest thing that ever happened at an event?
Once I accidentally spilt champagne on someone and they freaked out on me! I also crowd surfed and someone tried to steal my phone.
Any tips for new DJ’s and producers?
Continue Forward even when you face rejection
What’s your favorite club/venue to perform?
Sony Hall for sure!
What is fun and rewarding about what you do? And what’s not?
The most rewarding part is putting smiles on people’s faces and becoming the life of the party! Keeping the party going relies on you!
What’s your advice for the newer artists?
Be humble and never let rejections stop you from moving on.
What’s next for Jake Silva in 2023?
To hopefully get bigger bookings and be able to share my music with the world.

If you weren’t a DJ and a Producer, what would you be up to right now? What advice would you give to your younger self and why?
My advice would be to follow your dreams no matter what rejections and judgements you face.
If you are a book, what would be the title of the book and why?
“Wild life of Jake Silva” because I love to live life to its fullest.

Idea of a perfect Sunday?
My ideal Sunday would be eating a nice home cooked meal and making some good music!
What is your own definition of happiness?
My definition of happiness is having good health and good relationships.
Do you support any charities?
Yes! I’ve worked with organizations in the past that support cancer awareness and ALS.
What is your favorite healthy food?
Spinach

Big Mac

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
I would love to meet Whitney Houston.
How do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully playing at some of the biggest music festivals – God willing!
