Hi Drew, please tell us a little about you?
I grew up singing in church with my family. Decided to make it official and went to college to study voice. There I learned the technical part of the craft, including singing opera and in multiple languages. 5 albums later….here I’m!

Who influenced you and why did you choose to make music?
One of my favorite memories is running into Usher at a party in LA and telling him he inspired me to be great and to look out for my music one day. (pic attached)
Tell us about your new single “Stay?” What’s the story behind this song & video?
This is a really special project to me. ‘Stay’ is actually the first record that I have even released that I did not write. My management connected me with Kaleem Taylor (writer) and The Code (producer) from the UK and I fell in love with this song as soon as I heard the demo. I put my “Drew Vision” spin on it and recorded it in the fall of 2019. Once everyone heard it, they all agreed that this was my song to run with.
While ‘Stay’ was originally written as a love song, given the timing of the release and everything going on in the world, I decided to reinterpret the video to be a tribute to #blacklivesmatter, celebrating the people we have lost to police violence from the point of view of their loved ones, begging them to stay.
Did you had plans/concerts planned and cancelled because of COVID? If so have you done any online concerts or interaction with your fans?

What is fun and rewarding about what you do? And what’s not?
When someone tells me that my song made a difference in their life. Just impacting people in a positive way is the most rewarding thing.
What’s not fun is people not keeping their word. The struggle is real.
What is your favorite song? And why?
Right now I’m really into Black Eyed Peas new album and plenty of Afro beats.
Best advice ever given?
Trust your instincts and always do the right thing.
Idea of a perfect Sunday?
Prayer/meditation in the morning. Mimosas by the pool in the afternoon.
What is your favorite song to belt out in the car/for karaoke?
‘You Don’t Have to Call” – by Usher
Do you support any charities?
Giving back is realty important to me. I released the video for ‘Stay’ during a benefit concert with Mario & Jojo for My Friend’s Place, a youth homeless shelter.
I have also partnered with Ryan Seacrest to provide some light through my talent to children in the hospital.
