Writing and creating music have always been my form of therapy, a way to escape the stresses of daily life

Yes, of course, nerves are a good thing; they show you really care for your craft.
Tell us about your new single, “Heart Over Head.”
Heart over head is about the difficulties that you face when being stuck in a toxic relationship. No matter how bad this person is for you, you always find yourself going back because the love and lust you have for them is undeniable. Making the decision to follow your head or your heart is challenging. When we are in a toxic relationship, we always want to listen to what our heart is telling us to do. But sometimes our head is telling us otherwise, making it difficult to make the right decision.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
Most rewarding part is knowing that those who listen to my music are a part of my life’s journey. A journey that is relatable to anyone who has dealt with the intricacies of love.
What advice would you give to your younger self, and why?
Not to be so hard on yourself when things don’t seem to be going the right way in life. Dealing with the difficulties are what make you stronger and more dedicated to your craft

What’s next for Skye Houston in 2024?
2024 for Skye is filled with a lot more new music. The best part of my project so far, I would say, is music, which I am extremely proud of. A lot more live shows.

Cheeseburger with fries.
