Hi BILETSKA, please tell us a little about you?
I’m 28 yo, originally from Cherkasy, Ukraine.
A poor kid from a poor family that is living her dream in the United States. All my life, I always liked to try new things, going out of my comfort zone, and to travel. I would describe myself as a very kind, generous, well-mannered person who knows what she wants and gets it no matter what.
I never had my real dad around me Bc he left my pregnant mom to join a religious cult, but my parents always did what they can to provide for our family and treat me in the best possible way.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
strong-willed, charismatic, romantic
How did you get started in the business?
I believe since kindergarten when my parents signed me up for a vocal choir, lol.
How has this changed your life?
Playing music was the only thing I ever wanted to do.
We’re sure you have been asked this a million times, but how did you get into the industry?
The most serious it got is when I was on the Voice TV show, and right at the same time, I got an offer from Michael Batio’s manager to take the spot of their Italian singer that for some reason couldn’t make it on tour. That was my first big experience touring, being on stage every day for 1 month. It was fun????
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Commercial electronic pop
Who influenced you, and why did you choose to make Music?
Joan Jett was my first big influence and always will be. It was magical the way she performed on stage, giving it all of her to the people she might never see again. After that show in Coney Island, New York, I knew I would be in the music business.
Do you play any instrument?
I play electric guitar.
Do you ever get nervous?
I do. When I visit my parents ????
Or When I’m at a party, and I don’t know anyone.
Or when my parakeet is flying next to a boiling pan.
Tell us about your new single “Changes?
It’s an epic song with lots of moods, background vocals, and a killer guitar solo. It’s my favorite by far. The third single that promises to be a lucky one.
What’s the story behind the song?
Like the title says, it’s about “Changes.” Either it’s within you or your surroundings until it all makes sense until you are happy again. Time is passing by really quick, so why should we live it in pain or dissatisfaction, loneliness. It all can be changed. And it’s up to us when and how!
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
When someone’s singing my song, saying, it stuck in their head. I also like when people are being particular about which part they like better.
What book should every entrepreneur read?
My favorite book is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. Definitely those.
How would your best friend describe you?
This is what my two best friends say about me
Julia: No matter the occasion, Maryna is all white tie (dressy af) ????
She’s Joking all the time! She would not be a friend to everyone, but she will give 100% of her devotion if she is your friend!
Anastasia: Maryna is sexy, talented, really emotional, and genuine. She’s a lot of fun and a person you can trust no matter what.
