On the small screen, viewers may recognize Ashley as Louis C.K.’s youngest daughter “Jane” on the FX series. Other credits include 30 Rock (NBC), Blue Bloods (CBS), Deadbeat (Hulu) and starred in the independent film A Different Sun, which toured the festival circuit.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”27564″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]Hi Ashley, please tell us a little about you?
Well, besides acting, I love drawing, especially cartooning, and I love being silly for my friends and making them laugh!
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Three words that describe me are funny, sarcastic and artistic.
Name one your strengths
One of my strengths is that I’m pretty smart and I can figure things out fairly easily.
How’s a typical day in your life?
I get up and first do the usual morning routine. Then I head to school at around 7:30am. After I try and survive school, I get home and go to Tae Kwon Do class. The rest of my day is dedicated to homework.
Who is your biggest supporter?
My Mom! She always is really supportive and there for me. She’s got my back!
How did you get started in the industry?
I started modeling as a baby. My mom sent a picture of my older sister to a modeling agency, which opened the door for me and my younger sister. The rest is history!
What was your first acting role?
My first acting role was a movie called “Fair Game”. I played Naomi Watts and Sean Penn’s daughter. I had just turned 5 and absolutely loved it! That experience was so fun that I’ve been doing it ever since.
Do you take or have taken acting classes?
I do not take acting classes, but I do have an acting coach who I work with for auditions and filming. She’s really helpful!
What is the best and worst part of being an actress?
One of the best parts of being an actress for me is meeting everyone! I love talking to all the people on set and making new friends, especially with the crew. One of the hard parts is when you have to work late at night, or very early in the morning, that can be tiring, but it’s all worth it to see the final product!
Best advice ever given?
Always put ketchup on scrambled eggs, there is no other way to eat them!
How do you prepare for a role?
Usually I rehearse back and forth on the script sometimes, I can normally memorize lines pretty easily. I also rehearse with my acting coach to really get into character, then I’m all set!
Now tell us about your work in TBS hit comedy “The Detour?”
The Detour started out as a family on a road trip from Syracuse, NY to Ft. Lauderdale FL, and all the crazy adventures along the way. Season 2 The Parkers ended up in New York, and Season 3 they were on the run in Alaska. The Parkers are always running into trouble, but their love for each other keeps them going.
What we can expect for Season 4?
At the end of Season 3, my character, Delilah, runs away from home. Season 4 is focused on finding Delilah, and where the family goes searching for her, as well as what Delilah has been up to while on the run! Season 4 premiered on June 18th.
What other projects you have been part of?
I’ve been a part of many other projects, including movies and other TV shows. The Detour keeps me very busy, and I love being a part of the show. It also gives me time to just be a regular kid when not filming.
What kind of roles do you like or would like to play and why?
I really like to play roles that make others laugh, which is mainly why I like The Detour so much. Comedy is one of my favorite type of roles.
What is next for Ashley Gerasimovich in 2019?
Well, I’m so excited for Season 4 of The Detour! I am also going on vacation to Europe and I’m really looking forward to that!

A lot of people don’t know that I have at least 3 comic book ideas, and my dream career is animation.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Well, I believe it’s whatever I feel like doing that day. Sleeping, drawing, jamming out to some music, hanging out with friends, it’s all where I find happiness.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
