Hi Kelsi, please tell us a little about you?
I am 23 years old, and I am an actress/dancer/singer/ psychic medium! I also am a video creator on Youtube and TikTok! Being a psychic medium, I am very intrigued with the paranormal world. My social media consists of me visiting the most haunted places in the world and communicating with spirits. Aside from the creepy stuff, I love to perform and express my creative side in many ways.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Brave, Strong, Unique
Name one your strengths?
Once I set my mind to something, I don’t stop until I achieve that goal.
Best advice ever given?
To never give up.
Who has been the biggest influence on your life?
My parents showed me to be strong, never give up, and always stay true to myself.
Tell us about your new single “Heartbeats?”
My new song “Heartbeats” was written and produced by Comanavago! Two amazing music artists from London. I told them my story, and they did a fantastic job at putting it all together. It is about finding yourself, your self-worth, and knowing you can find the strength to move on to better things without depending on someone else.
What’s the story behind the song?
When I was 19 years old, I got into a very toxic relationship with a man I thought I loved. It was non-stop mental abuse day after day. He would check my phone every hour. My Snapchat location had to be turned on. If I looked at another male so much, he would be convinced that I knew the person or was “checking them out.” It would turn into a big argument. If I cried, he would shut me in the bathroom and not let me come out until I was done. He was a master manipulator. I always thought I was “cheating on him.” It was constant mind games.
Eventually, I began having severe panic attacks, depression, and self-harm. I was young, and this was my first love. He constantly told me he would be with other girls if we broke up. I didn’t want to see that. Again he manipulated me to stay. However, there is a happy ending. I got away. It turns out he cheated on me. This honestly helped me stay away for good. After this dark period in my life, I did a lot of self-healing and confidence-boosting. It took a while, but I finally found myself. I learned to have fun again, to be free again. That is what this song is about.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Hopeful, Fun, Confident
Who influenced you, and why did you choose to make music?
I have always loved to sing. I would always do impressions of singers for fun and just mess around with it. My dad’s side of the family is mainly singers. I believe there were also singers on my mom’s side. I always wanted to make music. I just was not sure how to, or where to start! TikTok and Youtube helped me connect with song artists who have helped me explore the music side of things. This is only the beginning!
Do you play any instrument?
Unfortunately, no.
Do you ever get nervous?
Yes, I have severe anxiety. I am on a medication that helps it settle a bit. I do get nervous. I try not to let it affect my life like it used to. I was always shy and stayed quiet in school even though I wanted to speak or play with the kids on the playground. Now, even though I get nervous or anxious sometimes, I just take a deep breath and keep going!
What is fun and rewarding about being an influencer? And what is not?
It is so cool to have people watch the videos you work so hard on. It’s gratifying. Knowing that people enjoy the content, I create and accept myself as my authentic self. Not everyone will believe in what I do or like me as a person, and I know that. Sometimes it is hard reading extremely mean comments that people leave about my body, my beliefs, or me in general. Yes, it is just part of being on social media. I just wish people could just keep scrolling rather than leaving me something degrading to read or making videos about me just being disrespectful.
What did you learn from your biggest failure?
To always trust your intuition and know that things always get better.
What would say are the greatest lessons you learned so far in this business?
I have learned that there will always be ups and downs in any industry. But, if you have a positive mindset, work hard, never give up, and respect other people, you will attract what you put out into the world. It will all come back to you the way it is meant to.
Now tell us about the huge TikTok success and what are you doing to keep it going and growing even more?
I am so grateful. I have worked extremely hard on my TikTok and Youtube. Even when I would get hardly any views, I acted like I had many people watching me as self-motivation to put out the best content I could! I am focusing on my fan base. What they like to see, I pay attention to the comments they leave for me. They are important to me and keep me going every day. I am also collaborating with other TikTok creators to learn more and grow! I also love meeting new people and making new friends!
What do you think is the secret to have a successful TikTok account?
I would say consistency, high-quality videos, a niche is super important, and the way you are as a person! People can see right through you. They know who is genuine and who is not.
As a popular influencer you are followed by so many people and wine lovers. How do you feel about that pressure of doing always the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?
It is an incredible thing to be able to help others, influence others and spread positivity. It is a lot of pressure, putting myself out there in front of millions of people, but my fans are why I keep going. Their positive comments help me deal with the negative ones.
What book should every entrepreneur read?
I don’t read books, but find someone you look up to and study what they do to be successful!
What actor/actress/model do you admire the most, and why?
I admire Willow Smith. She has helped me so much with spirituality and has such a good outlook on life. Her music helped me start my spiritual awakening.
What’s next for Kelsi Davies in 2021?
I have level 2 of my app game coming out! Kelsi Davies: Haunt Escape! I’m also definitely planning on continuing to focus on my career, more music, acting, and of course, talking to ghosts! I hope to take my career to the next level this year.
Which project is still on your bucket list?
I would love to be the lead actress in a horror series one day! Kind of like American Horror Story!
In five years from now, where do you see yourself and your career?
I see myself acting in shows and movies. I also see many opportunities coming, whether it’s with TikTok, Youtube, or something else! I trust the universe and know it will lead me on the right path.
What is your favorite healthy food?
I love chicken and rice!
And your favorite cheat food?
Noodles are my favorite, especially udon!
What is your own definition of happiness?
Being able to sit there and just know you are doing your best and that everything is falling into place. To know your friends and family are there supporting you. I struggled with depression for a long time. It’s something that you have to fight constantly. But once I got it under control, I swear I feel genuine happiness. It’s a great feeling.
How would your best friend describe you?
Crazy (in a fun way), driven, motivating, and giving.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
I would love to meet Jim Carrey. My family and I would always watch Ace Ventura and Dumb and Dumber growing up. He is also into spirituality, and I love how woke he is. I feel like we could talk for hours about the universe.
What would be the dream holiday, and who would you go with?
It would be a dream to go to Japan with my boyfriend. We have talked about it for years, we watch anime together, and we just love the Japanese culture.
