Check out our interview with cross-genre newcomer Zye Ca$h who just released his new single “Love Someone.”
As a single father and a following of nearly half a million on TikTok, Zye has begun promoting his next single “Love Someone,” which fits the entire brand of who he is as a single father and his hope to find love in the future. These are core values I believe that many individuals throughout America strive to find, however, struggle with. Throughout the song, it notes special gestures including “handwritten letters” and “old school love,” the core values he wishes to have in a relationship. Zye is the father of a beautiful daughter and as he continents the single life he strives to find a relationship that holds core to his values.

Hi Zye, please tell us a little about you?
I am a singer/songwriter from Virginia. I have a great TikTok following with almost 500K followers, and they have supported me so much I’ve been able to do music as a full time job for the last 3 years. I am also a proud dad. I have a 5 year old daughter and she is my whole world!
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Persistent, Dad, Grateful
We’re sure you have been asked this million times but how did you get in the industry?
It all really started with TikTok. My very first TikTok I made went viral where I sang Josh Turner’s “Your Man.” From that point on I continued creating content and building up a fanbase there.
How has this changed your life?
I am now able to spend a lot more dedicated time with my daughter when I have her. I work hard when I don’t have her so when I do, I am able to really be involved. That is honestly one of the main reasons why I wanted to even do this!
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Mixed, Smooth, Real
Who influenced you and why did you choose to make music?
My biggest influence musically is Jason Aldean. I love his music and the way he carries himself. Outside of music, my biggest inspirations are my brother Paul who passed away and my daughter.
Do you play any instrument?
I play guitar.
Do you ever get nervous?
I get extremely nervous. Whether it’s performing or going live, I don’t really feel very comfortable until after I’ve already started. Once I get going, I have no nerves.
Tell us about your new single “Love Someone?”
“Love Someone” came from a place of loneliness. I was having a difficult time in life dealing with being a single dad. I’ve always wanted a family and when I wrote “Love Someone” it was my way of helping myself keep hope for that true, unconditional love that will come someday.
What’s the story behind the song?
I wrote the chorus a while before I ever finished the song. I was actually on the brink of quitting music when my friend Dustin got me to make another push. We ended up getting in the studio and writing the verses to “Love Someone” and I immediately felt like it was a hit!
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
Being able to spend quality time with my daughter. When I worked a 9-5 sales job I got a lot less time with her. It’s nice being able to make any events she has as well!
What book should every entrepreneur read?
Dale Carnergie “How to win friends and influence people”
What would say are the greatest lessons you learned so far?
I’ve learned that pain and hardships are temporary. You need to embrace your difficult times and allow it to work on your character. I feel like my patience, strength, endurance and many other characteristics have come through the struggle.
What advice would you give to your younger self and why?
Always be real and never give up. I used to be very insecure and I allowed people’s opinions of me to shape me. I would tell myself that there are many people out there who will love me for who I really am. Also, don’t quit. We will all die one day and take nothing with us. Fight with every breath to achieve that purpose in me.
How would your best friend describe you?
Funny and wild. I love to have fun and I’m always joking and pranking people.
If you are a book, what would be the title of the book and why?
“Dadicated” It would be the story of a dedicated dad fighting as hard as possible to be the best man he could be, but most importantly the best dad he could be.
What’s next for Zye Ca$h in 2023?
I have performances already booked and looking to get more as well as doing a mini tour. I’ll also be releasing a lot of new music and video content. My next single “Lights Out” is already in the process of mixing and mastering.
What is your favorite healthy food?
I’m not the healthiest of eaters but I do enjoy avocado.
And your favorite cheat food?
Chips and sour cream. My dad put me on it when I was younger.
How would you explain your fashion style?
Boring and broke. My friends make fun of me because no matter how much money I have I always wear the same clothes.
What is your own definition of happiness?
Happiness is fleeting to me, I’d much rather choose joy. Being happy to me means having those moments when you feel overwhelmed, in a positive way that makes you smile or laugh out loud.
If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?
I would meet NF. He has changed/saved my life many times. His music has connected with me more than anyone else. I would like to have a conversation with him and let him know how thankful I am.
What would be the dream holiday, and who would you go with?
I would take my daughter with me on a Disney Cruise. I feel like she would have the time of her life!
Best advice ever given?
This guy I traveled with named Eddie James always told me he wanted his ceiling to be my floor. That has stuck with me and I want the same for my daughter. I want to build an amazing future for her.
Do you support any charity?
I don’t support any specific charity but I am active in my community when it comes to the homeless.
Where do you see yourself and your career in 5 years from now?
I see myself touring and releasing amazing heartfelt albums that make an impact on people’s lives. I also see myself living in a much more comfortable place where I’m able to help others even more.
Favorite song? Why?
“Only” by NF. It talks about how you’re not alone. There are tons of people out in the world that feel lonely and go through similar things as you. It always gives me the reminder I need to know everything will be okay.
What do you think of Social Media?
I’m not into Social Media very much. I’m pretty old school and would rather see and talk to people in person. I think Social Media is filled with a lot of facades and people simply doing things for attention.
