Haute Living Magazine hosted a dinner event for their January issue cover star, actress and producer Issa Rae, alongside the Golden Globes. It was held at the RDEN Restaurant in Hollywood on January 9th, 2024.
An invite-only meal featured a tasting of The Macallan 25, a bottle worth around $3,000, with only 40 people present. It attracted artists like Crime by Design, Haute Living publisher Kamal Hotchandani, and various friends of Issa, including filmmakers and other industry influencers.
Issa wore a sleek, ivory-hued sweater dress that traced the voluptuous outline of her frame while she was busy posing for shots, mingling among the partygoers.
The signature Macallan cocktails at the nighttime celebration were The Typography and The Marigold, both featuring The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old. At the dinner event, guests toasted with Vaiaré Prosecco by Issa Rae, and also enjoyed a variety of red, white, and rosé wines from Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate Vineyards.
Within the historic Taft Building in Hollywood, a quaint restaurant named Rden is perched. With its cozy mezzanine, patrons are provided a spectacular view of the novocaine faces waiting in line for ‘The Lion King’ and the rowdy core of Hollywood Blvd.
The guests, once they arrived, were given and offered tomes of the main courses that would appear on the menu, such as soup shots, man-food, and cheeses, as well as unconventional and wanted bottles of wine and pre-muddled cocktails. After that, the guests readily made their way to the second level where the de mer rested and the chef’s dinner began.
ARDEN is the most recent gem in California’s famed culinary world, with its careful blending of cutting-edge culinary expertise with the old, glamorous splendor that is Hollywood.
