Hi Jet please tell us about you?
Well I am about to turn 11 this Friday Nov. 27th. I am in 5th grade. I love to act, sing, play my guitar and dance. I was born in Nashville, TN. We still live there, but also spend time at our home in Missouri and California.
So how did it all begin?
I started out singing and playing guitar on stage at my parents restaurant. My parents tell me that as soon as I could walk I would carry a microphone around and try to sing out on the dance floor.
Anyone in your family who is also in the entertainment business?
My mom plays music and is a writer. My parents have a music publishing company and they also produce films.
What was your first acting role?
It was a Christmas Seals Commercial when I was 4. It was also my first audition I ever had.
If you could act with anyone as your co-star, who would it be and why?
I get asked this a lot. I always say Tom Hanks. I think I could learn a lot from him. He has done so many different kinds of roles that have been really interesting. I hope my career can be as amazing as his. He also seems like a really cool guy too.
Who is your favorite Actor/Actress? And why?
I really have several. Again, Tom Hanks is just amazing. Sean Astin, Betty White and Robin Williams are all some of my favorites. I hope I can have a career like theirs some day.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Kind, faithful, funny
Tell us about your character Bobby Anderson in Disney Channel’s Original Movie “Adventures in Babysitting”
Bobby is a very creative wannabe chef. He will try off the wall concoctions. Sometimes he might not realize it, but some of his ingredients are pretty gross.
Ok so now tell us about Todd Gerelds in “Woodlawn”?
Todd loves football. He is always trying to help his dad and give him advice about how he should coach the team. I loved filming this part, because I got to meet the real Todd Gerelds. He is a grown man now and it was very interesting to see the older version of my character. I think Todd enjoyed watching us film and seeing me as himself too.
What do you think is successful about this movie?
The story in “Woodlawn” is really important and is a story that needed to be told. It shows that you shouldn’t judge someone by the color of their skin. It is the inside that counts. This movie shows how these young guys became a real team, friends and learned to work together through their belief in God.
What do you like to do when have some free time?
I do what normal kids do. I love to play sports. I am pretty lucky that I get to act and sing. I don’t really consider that work, because it is so much fun. I like to go to our farm and ride horses, 4 wheelers and hang out with my family.
How’s a normal day in your life?
Well, I am home schooled, but I still have to start in the morning like other kids do. I usually practice my guitar and sing after I am done with my school. I try to get out and play some soccer, basketball or work out and then play with my friends. Sometimes I have auditions in the afternoon, but overall, it is really pretty normal.
Do you practice any sport?
I really love soccer and basketball. It’s hard for me to be on teams, but my parents found some intermural soccer for me to do and I do basketball camps at one of my favorite colleges, Belmont University in Nashville. That is really cool, because I get to be coached by some of the players and Coach Byrd the head coach.
Who is your biggest supporter?
My parents are really my biggest supporters. They always say that they would support me and be there for me no matter what I want to do. I am really fortunate that both of my parents are able to be with me all of the time, because our family comes first.
Best advice ever given?
The best advice I have ever been given is by my parents who have always told me their main job is to make sure I am a good man. I always remember this and it makes me want to be a good man and a good person.
Do you have any hobbies?
Playing guitar is so much fun. I really do love sports too. This year my parents let me join a FREE Fantasy Football League. I really have fun with that. My team isn’t doing so well, but it is still a lot of fun.
Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
In 5 years I should have my drivers license and that will be cool. I will be in high school and hopefully figuring out which college I will be going to. I do want to stay in the entertainment industry. I want to write, direct, produce and act in some of my own projects. I would love to have some of my music out and be doing that as well.
What kind of music do you listen to, normally?
I listen to all kinds of music. I just really like good music. I don’t care if it’s pop, rock, jazz or country. I am from Nashville, TN so I do listen to a lot of country music.
Any other future plans?
I want to keep acting and performing. I really want to develop some of my own projects with my parents.
