Story” follows privileged teenagers in Los Angeles through the ups and downs of teenage life.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”21309″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]Hi Kaylyn, please tell us a little about yourself?
I am 16 years old. I am a dancer, model and actress. I am also a social influencer with more than 500k followers on Instagram. I love working out, going to the beach and hanging out with my friends! I also go to a private Christian high school, which is sometimes interesting to people, because usually industry kids are all homeschooled.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Extremely compassionate, respectable, and hardworking
Why and how did you get started in acting?
I lived in Chicago when I was younger and my parents always took me to the greatest shows. I always wanted to be the one on those huge stages. I also made my mom and dad watch and participate in “shows” at my house all the time. I started in the theater when I was younger, instantly falling in love with it, and continued with it and grew and built an empire for myself.
Any other family member is in the business?
Surprisingly, I don’t have any other family members in the business.
What did your parents first think of you being an actress?
My parents were excited. They always knew I wanted to be a part of it all, so they have always supported me.
Do you have or had acting classes?
I have and still take acting classes.
What roles do you like to play? And why?
To be completely honest, I love playing the mean girl. Mainly because I’m not that type of person in real life. I’m always so happy and never mean, so it’s fun to be someone you aren’t.
Tell us about AwesomenessTV’s series “LA Story”?
AwesomenessTV’s show, L.A. Story follows the lives of my group of friends. We are all pretty fortunate to grow up in such a beautiful place right outside the LA area and go to an amazing private school. We all go to the same school, except for one of us. I am the youngest of the group. The rest are juniors and one senior. It is filled with fun, adventure, and teen drama.
Who is your favorite actor/actress?
I love Kate Hudson, Brad Pitt, Chad Michael Murry, and lastly, Blake Lively
Best advice ever given?
Be extremely humble, and never be anyone else besides yourself. Be you and only you.
What are the most useful tips you could give to someone who’s just starting in the acting world?
You will go on a lot of auditions in the beginning, and you’re not going to book everything. You have to keep going and NEVER give up. Believe in yourself.
What’s one of the funniest or memorable thing that have happened to you on set?
One of the funniest moments I have experienced would be when I was on L.A. STORY. We went camping and while we were having dinner, someone dressed up as “Big Foot” and scared us! It was so random and very funny and everyone on the show couldn’t stop laughing. I loved it.
You are the current IAF’s Elite Miss Ventura County Teen USA. Tell us about it?
I love being apart of the IAF family. It is an amazing company to work with and I am extremely blessed and thankful to be an IAF Elite member. It’s growing so fast and I am so proud to be a part of it. I am currently doing a lot of community service and love doing it. I am also part of a great charity called S.A.D.D. (Students Against Destructive Decisions). I currently hold the title of Miss Ventura County Teen USA. I most recently competed at the Miss California Teen USA pageant and placed in the Top 20.
This was my first time in such a big pageant, which is amazing for me! It was such an amazing experience and I can’t wait to keep doing it and come back next year.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I would say my style is sort of like a beach chic. It’s an L.A. meets NYC kind of style.
What do you do to stay fit?
I love working out and so I do that A LOT. I also am a dancer so that helps me stay fit as well.
Do you follow a particular diet? Which foods do you enjoy, and which do you try to avoid?
I try to eat healthy for the most part, but it does get hard. If I know I have a shoot or a job coming up, then I will prepare in advance and have a particular diet. For the most part, dancing usually keeps me in pretty good shape.
If you were sent to a desert island, what three things would you take with you?
I would bring a friend or my mom, my phone, and a surfboard!
Who are some of your favorite models and designers, and why?
I love Claudia Schiffer, Romee Strijd, Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, and Gigi Hadid. I love Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Louboutin, Yves Saint Laurent, Coco Chanel, Jeremy Scott, and so many more…

Do you support any charity?

What do you do when you have some time off?
I love to go shopping, see movies, go to the beach, travel (if I have enough time), work out, and so much more.
Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
Five years from now, I see myself attending FIDM and owning my own fashion line. Also, possibly being on an NFL or NBA dance team.
How important is Social Media for you?
I love social media and its kind of a big part of my life, but I have been taught that social media shouldn’t be all you’ve got. To me, it’s a hobby and kind of like a journal of my life.
