Hi Kirk and Laura, please introduce yourselves
KK – Hi, my name is Kirk Knight and I am one of the stars of Bravo’s Newlyweds: The First Year. I live in Bethesda, MD and own a commercial real estate investment company, Knight Investments, as well as an internet start-up named Razzd.com.
LK – Hi, my name is Laura Knight and I am a cast member on the Bravo TV show, Newlyweds: The First Year. My husband & I live in Bethesda, MD, just outside of Washington D.C. I own an insurance brokerage firm and teach pilates.

How has it been trying to get pregnant with reality TV cameras and people watching the show?
KK – We have filmed for just over a year and it is surprising how fast the cameras seem to fade away. You get used to living your normal life with the cameras in the background.
LK – We have received an overwhelming amount of love and support from the audience.
Do you guys get nervous or harder to conceive with all the cameras and audience?
I don’t feel that the cameras added any pressure in our efforts to conceive. Maybe we would feel differently if they had cameras set up in our bedroom.
Any advice to other people thinking on share their lives on TV?
LK – Life is not all rainbows and butterflies – you have to be prepared to share it all with the audience or the experience won’t be authentic.
How did you guys got involved in the show?
A friend referred us to a producer casting couples getting ready for their wedding day. We began a very lengthy interview process that lasted several months. In the end, they offered us a contract. It was a big commitment and we had to be sure that we were willing to share a full year of our lives with the world.
How is your relationship with the other cast members?
We chat with them often – it feels as though we are all old friends. They are all really wonderful people.
How your life has been changed after the show?
We watch the episodes on Tuesdays with the audience – so we are sometimes surprised by what clips make the cut which ones don’t.
Are your families big supporters?
Our families are super excited that we are on the show, although some of them are a little camera shy.
When we can watch the Season 2 on Bravo TV?
Newlyweds: The First Year is on Tuesday evenings at 10pm on Bravo.
How did you guys met?
We were set up on true a blind date – no pics or social media. Deciding to keep it casual we met at Starbucks and the sparks flew! We ended up talking for 2.5 hours.

What is a normal day in your lives?
Breakfast together (and with Dolce), mapping out our schedules for the day/evening. Our lives vary day to day, so we prioritize making plans together, even if it’s a quick afternoon coffee break. Sometimes we are even working together on projects. It’s a fast paced lifestyle that we both thrive in.
What do you guys like to watch on tv?
House of Cards, Homeland & Game of Thrones.
Who has been your inspiration?
KK – I pull inspiration from multiple people – my children, my wife and the higher power.
LK – Kirk helps me to step out of my comfort zone & love without reserve, Oprah inspires women to reach to the highest level & my faith in God reminds me to never give up.
How important is Social Media for you guys?
KK – We love sharing our lives and seeing what’s going on in our family & friends lives as well.
LK – We are both new to Twitter and are having a lot of fun interacting with our audience.
