What is the best and worst part of being an actress?
Being an actress is like a regular life. As a human beings we are full of challenges and moments of living the pleasure of having won those challenges. That’s what we call it better or worse part of our lives. I thinks that the best part is when your TV show is successful, and gets a lot of covers and the love of your public. An actor feels bad when we want a character but the company choose another person. Also when you have to work but you want to be in a special celebration with your family, like a wedding, a birthday or Christmas, so I think it’s sometimes those little things that makes it feel you bad.
Best advice ever given?
The best advice is the Dialogue, the person who gave it to me was my dad, I remember that when I got married the first thing he said was “congratulations honey, do not forget that the best is dialogue”. I really think that Dialogue is not only to be able to speak well, is communicate. I believe that humans need to communicate in the right way, we have to learn to say things with love and express ourselves correctly.
You are part of one of the most successful Telemundo’s series “El Señor de los Cielos,” Tell us about your role as Amparo and about the series?
Amparo is a very smart woman, she tried to show people that there was another way of life more than be a drug dealer, not an easy life but right. She shows that not only because you are a woman and you are beautiful you have to get a man who is narco to solve your life. Amparo appear in this show to rescue her little nephew who was orphaned and get him out of that world. Then she meets Aurelio (the lead character) and get in love, Aurelio asks her to married him but she says no because he wasn’t able to leave that life as a narco. That was Amparo, a confident woman. I loved her. About the show, it is supremely successful series, it seems to me that marks a before and after on Hispanic television.
What has been your most memorable experience from the set?
I have had lots of wonderful experiences, so many beautiful things happen, so many funny and many tragic things too. I remember my last birthday on the set of the telenovela Silvana Sin Lana, it was a really memorable moment, very moving and special. There was so much love, so much admiration, so much affection because it was like a mixture of the beginning of my new life, also a great farewell, it was obviously my birthday and as the compilation of so many years in Telemundo working with people that mean a lot to me. We shared a lovely cake with mariachis, my mom was there too. Then after 10 minutes of having finished the party we have to keep working, so no one was stressed, everyone relaxed, laughing, I felt the love of the people and I also cry it was amazing.

I think that fashion has a very dangerous edge as everything in the industry, at the time I started, it was tendency to be very thin which could cause many health problems, now It’s different. What was amazing for me is that I always saw it as a job, being able to travel, getting to know a lot of people, being able to build a career as a model, as a brand, as a celebrity, the gratifying thing is that you can have a very beautiful life.
