How did you get started in modeling?
I loved taking photos with my friend when we were teenagers. My modeling really took off after winning Miss Finland. I used to do some modeling before that but the market was so small. I loved doing it and getting to bigger markets all over the world has really opened doors!
How has modeling changed your life?
It has brought many great things into my life. I get to travel to new places, meet new people and make new friends. Doing modeling I have been focusing on eating healthy because that shows right away in your skin, hair, appearance, energy level etc. I love what I do and when you get to work with great brands it makes me very happy.

Tell us about the experience of being Miss Finland?
It was a great experience. I learned a lot in a short period of time. You get to travel in Finland and work with different companies. You do lot of modeling and represent different brands. Of course Miss Universe was the highlight of it and that inspired me to move to LA.
What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion is everywhere. It a lifestyle. Now days everyday new things come into fashion. The beauty of it is that you can create your own style out of it and pick the things you like.
Who is your biggest beauty inspiration?
I’d say Heidi Klum. She has had great career as a model and then all the other things she has done with her career. She is an inspiration.
3 things you can’t live without?
Family, without the love and support I’ve gotten I wouldn’t be where I’m now. Chocolates! I looooove Finnish chocolates 🙂 on the days I’m down or miss home I need it. My mom sends me care packages full of chocolate frequently. And the third thing would be my phones. Keeping up with my schedule and responding all emails from my agents and bookings take lot of time.
When did you started in the acting business?
When I moved to LA. In Finland acting world is pretty small so never thought about it there. In LA lot of people asked if I do any acting and that’s why I decided to give it a try. Took different classes in different acting schools that some professionals recommended to me and really enjoyed doing it.
What was your first role?
I guess the very first one was a squirrel at my school play when I was 14!
Tell us about SAF3?
SAF3 is a new action series from the creators of Baywatch. Sea as the lifeguards, Air as the helicopter rescue and Fire as the firefighters. My character Heather is one of the lifeguards and each episode the team works on different rescue missions. Other than the thrilling rescues, our personal lives also gives interesting twists.
How did you got involved in this project?
They actually contacted me after finding me on a casting site. First we did a test promo for the show and when they started casting the actual tv series I got offered the role of Heather.
How’s a typical day in your life?
I don’t have a typical day and that’s why I love it so much. If I’m shooting usually days start very early and I spend all day on set. Mostly on my “normal” days I usually go work out in the morning, during the day I have castings, auditions and meetings. Then rest of the day I work on my laptop responding to emails etc.
What is fun and rewarding about modeling and acting?
The whole creative process is fascinating and when you get to be part of creating something amazing that’s the best. The variety of different jobs keeps it interesting and fresh.
How do you stay fit?
I love doing different barre workouts and kickboxing!

Classic, sexy, simple, feminine

Best advice ever given?
Surround yourself with good people. Especially moving to a new country makes it hard to really know who is who. Slowly you’ll find people who are your real friends and care for you. You really learn to appreciate your real friends.
Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
Traveling the world, building my brand. In some point I’d like to start a family.
What are your guilty pleasures food wise?
Finnish chocolate! Whenever I go back home I have half of my luggage chocolate to take back to LA. I try not to eat it myself but it’s just soooo good!
